Seasoned salt

Jerry Stratton, April 3, 2000

A spicy, unique seasoned salt for popcorn or snack mixes.

Servings: 5
Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried celery
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp parsley
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp caraway
  • 1/4 tsp asoefetida
  • 1/4 tsp coriander

Steps

  1. If you are using any whole spices, grind them together.
  2. Mix everything up.

Works especially nicely in ‘cereal’ snack mixes. Eight cups cereal, such as Chex Crispix, 1/2 cup butter, 4 cloves crushed garlic, 5 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 cups mixed nuts, 1 tsp salt, and 3 tsp of the above seasoned salt.
