March, 2000:
The Pacific Island Tattoo Conference, held in Apia, Samoa last November, has been written up in many of the major tattoo magazines ("Skin & Ink"-May, "Tattoo"-May, "International Tattoo Art"-May, "Tatowier Magazin"-March). The conference was attended by Leo Zulueta, Tamati Hunt and Rori.
There is also an article on Black Wave in the March issue of Germany's "Tatowier Magazin". It features Leo, Freewind and Rori.
April 26 to May 3, 2000:
Leo, Freewind, Tamati and Rori all participated in Tatau i Taputapuatea, an international tattoo festival held in Raiatea, French Polynesia. Tattoos.Com has a write up of the event.
August, 2000:
Leo has relocated to Michigan and will continue tattooing internationally. Freewind has become the new owner of Black Wave, L.A. Leo is currently also designing clothing, which will first be available in Japan. He can be contacted at:

September, 2000:
Leo will be attending tattoo conventions in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. Exact dates are not available yet.
October 6 to 11, 2000:
Freewind will be attending the first Taiwanese tattoo convention, to be held in the city of T'aichung.
November 24 to 26, 2000:
Freewind and Rori attended International Tattoo Expo VI, in Malmoe, Sweden.
December 8 to 10, 2000:
Freewind and Rori also attended the 10th Annual Tattoo Convention, in Berlin, Germany.
May 22 to 31, 2001:
Traditional Samoan tattoo artist, Petelo Suluape of Apia, Western Samoa, will be visitting and working at Black Wave Tattoo
in Los Angeles. Petelo will also have a booth at the Long Beach convention detailed below. Please call Black Wave for appointments and further information.
May 26 & 27, 2001:
Black Wave worked at the Artistry in Ink 2001 tattoo convention, being held in the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, California.
September 14, 15 & 16, 2001:
Black Wave once again attended the world famous Ink Slinger's Ball, held at the Hollywood Palladium.
November 4 through 25, 2001:
Tatau Tour of the South Pacific. Freewind and Rori attended a sequence of conventions in Samoa and New Zealand. More information here.
December 8 & 9, 2001:
Freeewind and Su'a Sulu'ape Petelo of Samoa travelled again to Berlin for their eleventh tattoo convention
