An extremely lesser-known movie, but very well directed (John Sayles) and acted (Joe Morton). The simplistic drug plot detracts a little, but this is definitely a recommended movie!

John Sayles (who also appears in “Something Wild”!) directed this movie that got good word of mouth and then went nowhere fast. About a black alien landing in Harlem and running from the precursors to Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. A very strange, somewhat disturbing story.
I’m not too psyched about this DVD. It is in full frame, though the reliable rumor is that it is full open matte, and never panned or zoomed.
