EXPLANATION: The rank is parenthesis is the overall rank for the month, including all color comics. For example, Dirty Pair #4 was the 272nd best-selling comic of the month. Jane Doe #2 (ranked #150th in black and white) was 551st overall, out of a total of 766 comics. The index is actually the CCD INDEX as computed by Capital City. This index measures the total sales of a comic through Capital City to the direct market (comics stores, not newsstand), as compared to Uncanny X-Men. Uncanny X-Men #305 had a CCD index of exactly 100.0, so for every 100 copies of U.X-Men that were sold, Cerebus sold 5.5 copies. This cannot provide exact numbers of sales, but it can provide a rough guesstimate. By comparing the sales of all Antarctic Press titles for the month (which I know exact sales figures for) to the CCD index, I calculate that a CCD index of 1.0 = 2300-2350 copies sold. All the books above are *scheduled* to come out in August, but this does not guarantee that they will. Some titles will invariably be late, and some even cancelled.
