From: Rich Johnston <[t--i--t] at [mail.easynet.co.uk]> Newsgroups: rec.arts.comics.info Subject: Rich's Revelations April Date: Wed, 17 Apr 96 02:47:34 GMT Take all the above with as much salt as you like. Dark Horse has got X-Files for novels and graphic story albums. Twist and Shout Comics still has X-Flies though, and a new issue is out now! Onslaught is no longer Professor Xavier, and the X-writers have been informed. He is now the combined dark sides of Proffessor X and Magneto. Caliber will be publishing Paul Jenkins and Leo Duranona's Construct. A half-million print run football comic book is being put together for the Euro'96 competition. Beat that, Spawn! Dez Skinn has included old Warrior material by himself, Will Simpson, Grant Morrison and John Ridgeway in the new Comics International, masquerading as a flip book with Warrior Spring Special 1996. Is he going to be publishing comics full time again???? The words cards, close and chest spring to mind. More firings at Marvel on the way? Soon it will be employing minus people, from the Negative Zone, no doubt. Dwyer has left Action Comics and Grummett is taking over, after losing Generation X when Bachalo returned. Staz Johnson will take over his duties on Superboy. Calvieri is consoldating his position and Louise Simonson, Jon Bognadove and Stuart Immomen may be on the way out. Perez will be inking Teen Titans. Gene Colan is working on a new Predator series as Gil Kane works on Star Wars. John Byrne is to revamp Doom Patrol as reported... but not for at least a year. Claremont and Hughes are off Star Trek/X-Men, instead we get Scott Lobdell and Marc Silvestri. I know one McMahan who'll be pleased anyway... Silvestri will continue to do X-Men work. Caliber is raking over the bones of Tundra finding bits by Moebius, Alan Moore and others to publish. Watch Doom 2099 to be a hot book as artist Jeff Lafferty takes on the book's last issues. Low print run, new hot artist, get there soon! And where have all the issues of Sliders gone to? Another dimension or a speculator bin? This is Richard Johnston, in London, signing off with another pleas for you to go out and buy X-Flies Conspiracy. Hey , I give you all this info, how about some payback? 8-)
