The factors which caused homicide were not studied." The study did not show that living alone, renting or gun ownership caused homicide. The study cannot be applied outside the control group, which is much different than most of the United States, and is vastly different from the small portion of the population who have access to internet. If you are an alchoholic criminal with a history of violence, then renting, living alone and gun ownership are linked -- in some unknown way -- with homicide.
