A-10, Friday, May 12, 1995] WASHINGTON--Three-fourths of U.S. voters believe the Constitution guarantees them a right to own a gun and 52 percent oppose gun control to curb crime in the United States, a _U.S. News & World Report_ poll issued yesterday found. The poll of 1,000 registered voters conducted May 7-9 showed little change in attitudes after the Oklahoma City bombing. The magazine's poll showed a plurality of voters, or 49 percent, viewed gun owners as friendly to the goals of themselves and their family. Forty-six percent said they felt the same way about the National Rifle Association, but those attitudes did not translate into capital for political candidates. Only 23 percent of those polled said they would be more likely to vote for a candidate backed by the NRA, while 36 percent said they were unsure or that it made no difference. ==== Interesting wording of the results, of course. But what do you expect?
