Y'all remember that after the Government massacre of the Branch Davidians, the few survivors not imprisoned were befriended and given shelter by Mark Domangue who allowed them to stay for free at his hotel, the Brittney. Some Branch Davidians did minor work for him, apparently to repay him for his kindness. Things like making beds, cleaning rooms, etc. The IRS claims that this is barter, and that Domangue owes employee taxes for the work to some $14,443. The IRS has seized the hotel. Domangue's lawyer says that Domangue will probably be forced to declare bankruptcy. There is an IRS spokesman, Branson, who says the guests were given "adequate" notice (of the seizure). He says "We didn't just throw them out on the street." Solzhenitsyn, don't go back to Russia! There is so much you could write about here. -- John K.
