Testimony did not begin Thursday until noon, instead of the usual 9 am starting time. Monday, prosecutors are expected to finish their presentation. Their last witnesses, including Branch Davidian Marjorie Thomas (who was critically injured during the fire). In addition, prosecu- tors may enter into evidence electronic surveillance tapes made during the siege. Defense attorneys say they should be able to finish presenting their case by the end of February. It is not known if any of the defendants will testify, or if so, which ones. Defense finished cross-examining witnesses Friday before 3 pm. Usually, witnesses have been asked to return the following day when there has been insufficient time for them to testify on their scheduled day. Prosecutors are not expected to call the primary planners of the Feb. 28 raid to the stand. The Treasury Department report on the raid and the following siege alleges that Phil Chojnacki and Chuck Sarabyn, of the ATF's Houston office, "lied, changed records and misled superiors in an effort to explain their decision." ========================= ADMINISTRIVIA ========================= KNOWN DISTRIBUTIONS USENET: talk.politics.guns, alt.politics.org.batf, alt.conspiracy, alt.politics.usa.misc & alt.politics.libertarian - author USENET: info.firearms.politics/mailing list Firearms Politics ([firearms politics] at [ns1.rutgers.edu]) - author Other networks - BIX: tojerry/inquest - Paul L.
