Newsgroups: alt.psychoactives,alt.drugs From: [p--zu--u] at [netcom.com] (Damien Pazuzu) Subject: Purple Shield Foundation Pub. #1 Date: Thu, 5 Aug 1993 00:24:29 GMT ________________________________________ The Purple Shield Foundation Electronic Publication #1 - Introduction August 4, 1993 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ever since my official announcement of the formation of the Purple Shield Foundation three days ago, I've been wondering what to do, and where to go with the Foundation. I'm still not totally sure, but I'm a lot further along with the plans. I thought I should at least put together a little intro, so here it is. I know my writing style takes a little getting used to, but please bear with me. NOTE: Any writing I do for the Foundation will be under a handle because the penalties for possession of LSD (at least here in California) are VERY steep, and I'm sure some Law Enforcement types read these newsgroups. Any writing for the Foundation by other authors can be done under a handle or the author's real name, at the author's discretion. When the time is right, names and all will be revealed, but not until the cause is advanced MUCH further than it is today. What is The Purple Shield Foundation? The Purple Shield Foundation is an organization which seeks to distribute the Truth about LSD and other psychoactive chemicals. We also seek to assist in the legalization of these substances, but we are not a "legalization" group per se. We do wish to be notified of ANY drug-related demonstrations, rallies, etc, whether pro or anti. We want the Truth about these chemicals to be spread as far and as wide as possible, which is why we have chosen the Internet for a base of operations. With Internet access, the world is at your fingertips. We support information exchange on ALL psychoactive chemicals, not just LSD. With the proper information, any individual should then be free to choose or choose not to use these substances. This is another important point - We are not here to say "Everyone should use drugs". We are saying everyone should have access to all information available on the drugs, then should be free to make the decision themselves. These drugs are not for everyone. Who is The Foundation? As of right now, the Foundation consists of myself, and a friend, known on the Nets as Vandal. We are currently seeking anyone with any info on psychedelic chemicals and a desire to assist in our cause. We don't receive any monetary compensation of any kind for this, but the satisfaction of helping a worthy cause is valuable far beyond simple money. We also would like our info available on as many BBSs and FTP sites as possible, so if you can help there, let us know. How do I contact the Foundation? There are several ways to contact us currently: You can send email to [p--zu--u] at [netcom.com] - that is my Internet mail address. You can call my BBS at (714) 646-9180, all speeds from 300 thru 14,400 bps. Or you can hunt me down on IRC, usually you'll find me on #drugs, #DnA, or #linux. As soon as we get an official FTP site, I'll post it up on alt.drugs and alt.psychoactives. Another Foundation Electronic Publication should be out soon. I apologize if there's a big delay between publications - I work full-time as a programmer; I run a BBS which is a regional hub for three large worldwide networks; I publish another Electronic Magazine called DnA which deals mostly with the Computer Underground, programming, government conspiracies and atrocities, and other such stuff; AND somewhere I have to fit in a "life". So, I'll try my best to get out a Foundation Publication every month, but if I'm a little late, refrain from flaming please. If you have any questions, comments, drug info, death threats, whatever, email me or call my BBS... Until next time... <[p--zu--u] at [netcom.com]>
