All typos are mine, and mine alone. You can't have 'em. I don't know if this is on the web yet -- I took it from the paper version of the Journal. ----start article---- Pro-drug advice can reduce risks Groups such as NORML and the Peyote Way Church of God are criticized for promoting the use of cannabis and psychedelic drugs. But the advice of pro-drug groups "can be seen to reduce a broad range of risks," according to a New Mexico researcher who interviewed members of pro-drug groups and reviewed their publications. Such groups promote informed, rather than indiscrimiate, use of drugs, he found. For example, in its list of "ethical responsibilities," NORML advises users to "Know what you are doing" -- to understand the physical and psychological effects of marijuana and the differences between use and abuse. The reseacher contrasts such advice with one-dimensional government campaigns such as the ad that equated a drug user's brain with a fried egg. "An analysis of risk reduction among organized groups that promote marijuana and psychedelic drugs." The Journal of Drug Issues, 1995, v.25(3):629-647. ----end article---- Enjoy!
