   Without a major
   study, my argument that drug use harms society is an open target.  

No shit, and let me tell you why --

There HAS been a major study conducted and it resulted in findings
opposite to your baseless claims.

The survey was conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research
and had a sample size of 5000.  It showed that not only are drug users
productive in the workplace, but they a healthier, undergo less stress,
and enjoy their jobs more.  In fact, they earned higher salaries and got
promoted faster than their non-drug-using counterparts. 

AND they drew less on health care insurance, performed better, and took
less sick days.

I've been trying to get a hold of it, but it appears I'm going to have
to go right to the NBER to get it.  The results of this study were published
in 1975 and 1985, I assume another release will be made in 1995.  It is
given a one-paragraph review in the December 1992 magazine `New 
Internationalist'.
