DUTCHMAN HURT BY EXPLODING JOINT

ROTTERDAM, June 14 (Reuter) - A Dutchman seeking a mind-blowing drugs trip is
in hospital after a joint exploded in his face.

"We have never heard of anything like this before," said a police spokesman
on Tuesday, adding that the 55-year-old man had just lit the cannabis joint
when it blew up. The victim is being treated for burns in a Rotterdam
hospital.

There was no immediate explanation for the incident. Drugs are legal in the
Netherlands and joints are sold in varying sizes in cafes and other outlets.
