Much of this is due to the way the particular site stores it (ie. .tar, .Z, with or without news headers, etc.). The dates also cannot be used as a guarantee of which version is the most up-to-date. I may at some time attempt to detrmine which versions are 'official'. If any of the compilers want to let me know their opinions, that would be great.
