Today, the Manotaur. A bull-centaur like creature of immense strength and bad attitude. Imagine "Darkness" from the movie "Legend" with the body of a bull. Now add a big sword or axe. Enjoy, ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manotaur Illustration: none Identifier: Centauroid Habitat: Interior Phaeree Size: 6 x human-size (10' T; 900-1000#) Number Appearing: 1-4 (1D4) 30+ in communities Modes & Rates of Movements: Walk: 200 yds/BT Trot: 400 yds/BT Run: 600 yds/BT Initiative Modifiers: Human Standard Outstanding K/S Areas/Sub-Areas & Steep: Combat, Hand Weapons at 44-80 (4D10 +40) Combat, Missile Weapons at 43-60 (3D10 + 30) Hunting/Tracking at 41-50 (1D10+40) Survival at 50 Perception, Physical at 40 Joss Factors: 0 Dodging/Avoidance: 0 and 10/26/16 or by individual Attractiveness: 2 Susceptibilities: Nil Average Armor Protection: 6+ worn protection Quirks: Nil Attacks BAC Damage Type Base Bonus ------- --- ----------- ---- ----- Hands (x2) 35 B 1D6 28 Horns 25 P 1D6 28 Hooves (x2) 40 B/I* 2D6 28 Trample** 40 I* 3D6 28 Spear,Long*** - P 3D6 28 Ax, Battle (2H) - C/P 4D6 28 Sword, Bastard**** - C 5D6 28 Bow, Long - P 4D6 28 * Impact damage can not be absorbed by any type of armor except full plate armor. **Applicable only when opponent is no more than 3' in height or has been knocked down and does not exceed this height. *** Treat as a light lance when charging. **** Used one-handed due to the immense strength of the creature Powers: Nil Heka Use: shamans only Statistical Details: Base Scheme (+/-D6) M: 40 EL: 32 P:400 WL: 300 CL: 360 S:62 EL:49 MM: 19 MR: 21 PM: 200 PN: 200 SM: 22 SP: 40 MMCap: 10 MRCap:10 PMCap: 80 PNCap: 80 SMCap: 9 SPCap 16 MMPow: 5 MRPow: 5 PMPow: 40 PNPow: 40 SMPow: 7 SPPow: 14 MMSpd: 4 MRSpd: 6 PMSpd: 80* PNSpd: 80* SMSpd: 6 SPSpd: 10 *Divide by 6 to get effective PMSpd of 13 and PNSpd of 13 Armor Scheme: Area Pierce Cut Blunt Fire Chem Stun Elec ------ ------ --- ----- ---- ---- ---- ---- Ultra 4 8 12 0 0 16 0 Super 3 6 9 0 0 12 0 Vital 2 4 6 0 0 8 0 Non 1 2 3 0 0 4 0 Average 2 5 7 0 0 10 0 Commentary & Description: Similar the classical centaur, the manotaur appears as a cross between a large bull and a heavily muscled human. Bull horns adorn the head and the heavily muscled neck enables the manotaur to use the horns as weapons against opponents of greater than 6" in height. The manotaur's ears are also bovine in appearance. Coloring varies from near black to various shades of brownish-red. The upper torso is generally lighter in color and often approaches caucasian in coloration. Very little is known about the manotaur culture. Manotaurs are notoriously hostile and, even amongst themselves, war constantly. Manotaurs speak their own language as well as the language of minotaurs but show little interest in communicating with other races. Heka-use is uncommon but shamans have been rumored to approach human-typical levels of power. Manotaurs are typically armed with sword and spear or battle-axe and spear but are quite capable when it comes to unarmed combat. When charging, the manotaur's spear is used as a lance. Manotaurs are capable of using armor of several types, especially shields, although they seem to favor breast plates and partial barding. Fully grown male manotaurs are often heavily tattooed. This tattooing seems to relate to prowess in combat and social status.
