fireballs, you name it.  My buddy Rich says they were doing the
mind-control stuff too.  When the smoke cleared, the damn' LAV was
still coming after us, not even a scorch mark on it. 

Fortunately I was on-line at the time, burned their protocols
and knocked the thing out of the sky.  (No boasts, but it was pretty
hard - military-grade IC, but fortunately I had the backdoor.) 
Avgas burns real pretty at night.  Anyway, we went seriously to
ground and headed out the next morning.  Didn't have time or
inclination (nobody bankrolling us) to set up a proper run to find
out more.  Anybody heard any more, like what they call this thing
