I took Raven, Cerise, Eclipse, Phantom, and Blindside on a little hit and run on Wolf's Merenary Army's Seattle headquarters. We found some pretty useful stuff. Here is a run report. Blindsides really nice to have on a run, He covered me and Eclipse with improved invisibility. Cerise did the same for herself and the three of us went in. The plan was simple. Eclipse would open doors. I would deck the system. Cerise would cover us. If it blew up in our faces Phantom, Raven and Blindside would pull us out. The headquarters was a three story building with a basement. Naturally the computer was in the basement and the fraggers had all useful info off matrix. This is the first time I've every seen someone keep stuff like that offline because to qoute a source, "They can't afford to hire a good decker to defend their system." The invisiblity spells would keep the cameras from spotting us and there was only about twelve phycial guards. The door security was good but Eclipse keep on chuckling, "I've seen better defenses at Disenyland." It took us all of five minutes to get to the computer room while dodging the patrols. I slid into the and started downloading useful files. Nice things like where they buy supplies, who was assigned to the Kurgan job, the location of their Training base in Cascade Crow territory. I was looking for something really useful when Eclipse started shaking me hard. "What?" "I think they know were here? Raven said she's seen them boxing us in." "Damn! Give me another minute." I went back to shifting data, at a frantic pace. I had just download a file when the shutdown single began. Damnit, I need another minute. Look faster, faster. Yes! Paydirt. Download, Download, and Out. Just as I jacked out the door exploded into a million pieces. Eclipse slammed me to the ground and splinters fell all around us. Cerise shreiked and her spell dropped. "Extract Now!" I screamed into my comlink. Eclipse stood up and swung his sawed off shotgun towards the door. A mercenary appeared in it with an AK-97 in hand. Eclipse's T-250 blasted twice and the man slammed into the wall behide him. As second appeared spraying ammo across the room. Eclipse took a slug and fell back. Then the merc screamed as Cerise's spell fried his mind. My smartgun was finally hooked up, I really should just buy a smartgun link. We all scrambled for cover, and not a moment too soon. Three grenades bounced through the doorway and exploded. One was frag, one flash, and the last concussion. These boys played tough. A merc flew across the doorway tossing yet another grenade into the room. This one bounced off Cerise's Earth elemental and exploded harmlessly. Apparently the merc's realized they had some major opposition in the room because they stopped attacking. The quite lasted almost 30 seconds and then we heard gunfire in the hallway. It was quickly followed by shouts of pain. Eclipse and I looked at each other and realized that we were visible. We looked at the door where Blindside appeared. "Coyote sayes you Americans need a way out," he said and winked back out of existence. Silly shaman. Eclipse lead the way followed by me and then Cerise. At the end of the hall we saw five mercenaries on the ground with no appearent wounds. Rounding the corner we found Raven, Phantom and two bullet riddled mercs. As we all headed for the door Phantom remarked that they refused to go to Sleep. We passed a few more on the way to the cars and got as far away as we could as fast as we could. ]<<<<< -- Nightstalker <22:52:38/03-08-54> >>>>>[ B-Team: We found some really useful info in the raid on WMA. Secondly, Nuclear Weapons are extremely harmfull to the environment for many years. Finally, actually finding a Nuclear Weapon that can be used is nearly impossible these days after disarmorment. Also you must remember that Magic can be used to disarm a Nuclear Weapon before it ever explodes and Tirandor easily has the power to do it. Plus the fact that Tirandor probably has weapons in space capable of destroying the weapon. Cowboy had taken out two of the six goons with his shotgun, leaving a nice bloody mess for me to skid on, so I gunned the engine and keyed the brakes about 2 meters behind them, catching them with the broadside of the van and scattering them. I dropped the back ramp, letting Jake and Napalm out to clean up the mess. Jake and Cowboy set up a nasty crossfire of AK-97 and Shotgun slugs that ripped another two to shreds. Napalm pointed one of his wands at the nearest goon and, well, he sorta spontaneously combusted. The last goon started to rabbit so I hit the gas to chase him down when Sarge picked up one of the H&K's the goons dropped and emptied the clip into him. That's when one of the wounded goons got back up and gave Jake a belly full of lead (Jake's OK, body armor stopped most of it, but it made him real mad). I was out enjoying the opressive smog in the down town sections near the Sound and I wound up at the edges of a riot. I asked one of the people what the drek was goin' on and he told me that one of the Metahuman Rights Organizations won a court case against the Humanis Polyclub and that they were going to go march all over downtown and up to the front doors of some Humanis chapterhouses! I guess that the members of the chapterhouses didn't like the idea and that they were forming en mass to meet the marchers with street justice. I decided that it would be better to miss this meeting of the minds and began to look for a public telecom to get a cab so I could avoid the fighting. I eventually found one that worked and I leaned against a building to wait for my ride to show. As I stood there two patrol 1 cop cars and a mobmaster pulled up to block off the street about 20 meters away from me. 'that's cool' I thought. I didn't mind having Lone Star around when the streets were going to erupt in riots at anytime. As I watched them set up wooden baricades across the road I noticed a euro-car westwind pull to a stop on the opposite side of the street. I automatically looked for an escape route incase it was a psyco ready to waste everyone in sight. There was a concrete dranage ditch within a few steps, so feeling safe with a quick escape route I turned back to watch the car. At this time I began to hear the sounds of far off fighting with the ocasional gun shot. Then the window of the westwind came down. The driver was an ork with dark skin and his hair done in dreads. Nuts and bolts were tied to the end of his hair. He chuckled like he had just heard a joke the held something out of the window. It looked like a small hand held radio. Then when he pressed the button all hell broke loose. There was a small explosion inside the mobmaster and the sound of screams echoed out of its hatch. One man fell halfway out of the hatch, his face hitting the pavement with a sharp crack. Two officers ran to their friend, grabed his arms and tried to lift him, but they then began to cry out. within a second both me droped to the ground like rag dolls, blood coming from their mouths. The other officers pulled up short of the hatch, one of the quicker officers yelled out, "Nerve gas! Back up!" I began to pull out a dikote throwing star from my bag and undo the strap holding my katana weapon focus. The ork in the car laughed and said, "look at them die!" to someone else in the car, although I couldn't see anyone else. Then he looked in my direction. "What the frag are you lookin' at!" I saw his hand rise up out of the window with a manhunter pistol in his grip. If I wasn't a pysical adapt he would have got me before I moved but my star lodged in his forearm before he took his shot. He droped the gun with a startled scream. the gun hit the ground about the time that I was halfway down into the 2meter deep drainage ditch. ducking low I sprinted further along the ditch hoping to escape in the direction of the cops. Then the sound of the twin MMGs on the mobmaster sounded. One of the patrol cars exploded. I could hear the ork yelling something that sounded like a song of some sort, and suddenly the area of the ditch that I had decended was covered in an explosion of acid. So with a Mobmaster blasting everything around it on one side of me and an ork shaman droping manipulation spells on the other I did the only thing I could. I ran back up into the street. When I got to the street the mobmaster was running over the second cop car and launching gas grenades further into the rioters. There was no visible gas coming from the grenades but where ever they landed people droped like rag dolls. The ork was redirecting his gaze towards me. I switched to astral perception to wait for the incoming spell, readied another star, and began to mumble a japanesse poem to center myself upon the task ahead. The ork begn to sing his song and power lept from his aura towards mine. I realized that if I hadn't been ready to destroy the spell in astral space that his power would have utterly destroyed me, he was no simple street shaman. But when it was the force of his spell against my skill with my weapon focus, his spell was no match. His eyes opened wide when his spell failed, then my star ripped through his mindshield, through his head rest, then through his rear window. I cursed my distraction and failure to anticipate his dodge. He grined and began to sing his song again, until he saw me pull out another star. The sound of his tires pealing out on the street combined strangely with the sound of MMG fire, and the ork speed off in reverse. I decided to save my star sinse it cost nearly 1000Y to dikote each one. My cab arrivied a minute later. I guess that the Lone Star special weapons devision finally downed the Mobmaster, after it had geeked nearly 500 people. I called one of my old contacts with the star and got the lowdown on the investigation. Apparently someone (my guess is the ork, of course) broke into the Lone Star vehicle lots and placed a program into the autopilot that caused to to opperate like it was in hostile teratory surounded by enemys. The autopilot then acted voilently and attempted to get friendly teratory. The program told it to use all weapons and get to the Renraku Arch', its supposed home turf, but the path took it strait through the rioters. The remote controls had also been disabled, the tear gas was replace with seven 7 nerve gas and one grenade of the same gas was wired to explode inside the vehicle. I guess that the mobmaster scared all the rioters indoors, but I hear that each side blames the other and plans to get revenge soon. They'll probally stop their plans when lone star releases their report. (do not be concerned, Dark Elf, I am still very much on the case, in regards to this, General Trevor business...I am only taking a break long enough to make a few comments) First of all, for all the praises the press sings of it, the union is largely ineffectual. What those "united world" idiots do not realize is that their influence is largely at an end. The United Nations organization is nothing more than a collection of states, the major supporters of which merely wish to garner good press coverage from presenting a facade of a united world. In truth, very little is accomplished by the organization anymore. A few points: Where was the United Nations during the EuroWars? If it is truly an organization for the promotion of world peace, it failed miserably in that particular instance... History has a penchant for repeating itself, the old saying goes. The defunct League of Nations proved inadequate to the task of stopping the black clouds of war once again casting their long shadow over the European continent, and the result was World War II. The United Nations has proved equally incompetent in preventing the EuroWars, and has since been regarded, in many circles, as castrated in terms of influence and authority. I put it to you: The Security Council's permanent members, do they truly represent the powers in the world today? The United Canadian American States, the amalgamation of the shattered remains of two former nations, is there. There is also the Republic of Moscow, whose economy and military still have yet to recover from the wars and its own revolution. The Chinese government, which has, for all practical purposes, drawn within itself, and now eats its own tail as Ouroborous. The French Republic, which partially atomized following the resolution of hostilities, and certainly is not the power on the continent. England is perhaps the only one which has maintained its status, of these so-called Super Powers. The final point I shall make is that I have received word that the Imperial German administration has openly refused to recognize Omega Island as a sovereign nation, and there are plans for lodging a formal complaint and protest to the United Nations for even considering extending membership to what it term as "a transparent attempt to legitimize corporate interests under the guise of a political entity". ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <00:55:35/03-10-54> >>>>>[Doom; I know that you've probably heard this before, but I'm having net-troubles. Tirandor, as a Great Dragon, is a highly powered Duel-natured creature, meaning he would see our attempt in an instant. Aslo the only way to target it would be to get a piece of the Intrepid or to send an astral scout. Of course the scout would be only in astral and as such would be cannon-fodder for a dragon. I don't even relish taking on Tirandor in the astral, and I'm three times quicker than him. That is why I left the last time I met him, it wasn't because of his elementals. It slides across the road, spinning sideways and then flips onto its side. The second car swerves hard, but cannot avoid nicking the first as it passes by. Then it to runs into a mine and loses its tires. The last car avoids the wreckage of the first and manges to stop before colliding with the first. "Highlander is in the second car. Creeping Doom is in the first," Lucky sayes and then drops her detection spell. She then joins her group and heads for the car holding Creeping Doom. The rest of us head for Highlander and the last car that can only hold Kurgan. Spectre leads the way, his M22 firing explosive rounds into the tires of FUK's vehicle ensuring it won't go anywhere soon. Some foolish mercenary gets out on our side of the vehicle and dies under the fire of Eclipse's Mossburg. The doors away form us on both cars open and mercs pour out to take defensive firing positions behind the cars. One falls from Cerise's Manabolt and another drops his gun as my Predator rips apart his arm. We hear FUK's impassioned screams, "You fools! How did they find out about this trip! Get Highlander over here!" Spectre aims his grenade launcher between the cars and fires. The concussion grenade explodes just beyond the vehicles due to his laser rangefinder, hitting the mercs with it full power. Yet another merc falls to Cerise's magical attack and I fire several rounds into a mercenary who narrowly misses me. Kurgan dashes from behind his car and runs to the one containing Highlander. He proves to be just fast enough to avoid Spectre's deadly aim. "Are you crazy!" Eclipse yells at him. "If I wanted him dead I would have lead him!" is his responce. Cerise and I finally manage to outflank FUK's former car and she opens with a deadly manablast that leaves only one Mercenary standing. He turns and riddles Cerise with hail of bullets that sends her sprawling to the ground. I empty my new clip into his body and he falls to the ground. Eclipse fires several shotgun blast above the car forcing the mercenaries to stay down while Spectre advances like a man possessed. Rounding the car he fires a burst of rounds that leave only Highlander and FUK unharmed. The remaining merc fire back, but Spectre in his partial heavy armor remains standing. Eclipse round the car and joins Spectre in finishing the last of Wolf's Mercenary Army. FUK laughs with reckless abandon as he his Imgram smartgun into Spectre and Eclipse casuing the two to fall to the ground. Spectre, having lost his rifle, stands backup and pops his cyberspurs. "You fool! You can't hurt me Spectre. Harm me and Highlander dies." "You better ask Highlander about that." "What?" FUK ask as he looks behind himself. There he see Highlander lying on the ground, pain etched across his features from the Hyper induced torture, holding one of the mercs rifle in his hands. "Don't be foolish, Highlander, shoot me and you die." "Then I can meet ya in Hell, you bastard!" Highlander said and then pulled back the trigger. Bullets leap towards the shocked FUK who tries his best to avoid his death. Luckily for him Highlander's aim proved to be less than perfect due to the effects of the Hyper, so only a few bullets to hit his target wounding him in his left arm. Highlander screams at the pain of recoil, but somehow manages to hold onto the rifle. Kurgan stumbles backward, trying to hold his wound and his gun with the same hand. With certain death on all sides the former Fuchi decker bares his teeth in a snarl tinged with madness. He pushes the button on his wrist that will trigger the explosives in Highlander's collar. Nothing happens. As the realization that Highlander isn't going to die after all, Kurgan snaps. "Damn you, McLeod!" he screams and raises his Ingram in one last attempt to kill the man who's always managed to come out ahead of him. But Highlander has by this time recovered enough to fire another wild burst, with me and Eclipse joining an instant later. Kurgan's body jerks and twitches in the air for several seconds, held aloft only by the sustained barrage of firepower. Then it ends, and the remains of Simon Trent collapse to the ground. Spectre walks ignoring his pain up to the corpse, and stucks his spurs through its head. "You're dead," he says, simply. "I should be," Highlander groaned, dropping the rifle and putting his head in his hands. "Get out of my way," he snarled and blasted them with his AK-97. The first fell immediately but the second took a shot from Slash before he went down. D. then turned around car and muttered, "Damn." The rest of us came around the car and saw that the top had been ripped off. There was no sign of Creeping Doom anywhere. "AAaatttackkk!" he said and the warped spirit launched itself at me. Ralph, the loyal dog shaman, stepped infront of me and fired his largest manabolt at the thing. The spell slammed into it, but did only minimal damage. It batted Ralph to the side giving him a nasty cut and continued towards me. Lucky stepped to the side and fired her Ingram smartgun at Creeping Doom, but the bullets bounced off the anti-bullet barrier he had around himself. Doom sneered at Lucky and a etherial hand appeared around her. She slashed at it with her knife, cutting a wide wound but it began to squeeze her non the less. The spirit reached me and attacked. My magesword blocked the first attack and cut a small wound in the spirit, but the second swing slipped past my defenses and struck me. I bit back the pain and pluged my sword at the spirit and gave it a nasty wound. The spirit than attacked again and missed. I attacked back and killed the spirit with a solid hit. Ralph, having recovered from being hit struggled to his feet and lauched a spell at Creeping Doom. It bounced harmlessly off his magical defenses, but it turned Doom's attention towards him. This allowed Lucky to destory the spell that held her. "Help the Samurai!" I said and charged Creeping Doom. Lucky turned to find my few elementals being destoyed by one of the Toxic spirits while the Samurai had gone Hand to Hand on the other. She rushed forward and knifed one killing it and headed for the second. Creeping Doom unleashed a viscous powerbolt at Ralph, which nearly killed him. As the second rushed towards him I slashed it reducing its force and then continued to Creeping Doom. Ralph went down under the spell, his prior wounds being too severe. I struck at Creeping Doom's Anti-Bullet Barrier, destoying the quickened spell. "Mmmisssstttakkkee, Rrrravvvenn. Nnnoowww Yyouuu Dieeee!" Creeping Doom said and began to cast a huge powerbolt at me. However before he finished Slash fired a burst form his AK-97 into the Toxic Shaman. Creeping Doom falled back clutching his wounds. I'm merely illustrating to everyone the alternatives to previously concieved solutions. Thought fuel. As for nukes; they can still be found, though not so easily as perhaps in the late 20th century. But who ever said we were going to *launch* it at them? You're so silly, Nightfox. Mother Nature is going to able to handle a lot more than we can dish out, and all we need to worry about is her revoking our tenancy before we're ready to move out. Personally, I suggest explosives, and lots of them. Anyone interested should contact me: I'm buying. What I want to know is whether this island of theirs is part of a chain, or if it is man-made. That's what'll make a difference in the methods used. Besides, Nightie old girl (you don't mind if I call you Nightie, do you? They seemed kind of nevous (why I do not know). Well, since they obviously needed to relax, and my leads on the Omega/MagnaTech scandal are kindof cold, I decided to take the night off and go with the team to club dedd for some R&R. Too bad the Cowboy didn't want to come along, he said that he rather keep an eye on the Sarge and wasn't too interested in the more modern nightclubs anyway. Our Guests were more than delighted to get a taste of New York's "active" nightlife, and got a little more than they bargained for. About halfway there, some of the local gangers decided that thier turf now had a toll lane. They had set two wrecked cars in the street, with only enough room for one car to squeeze through, and had stationed themselves and thier biggest Troll friend right in the middle. Being in a civil mood, we stopped the van and asked what was up. The Troll started banging on the window, demanding that we hand over all our valuables as a toll. Well, I didn't want to part with my deck, and the others just laughed, all thinking of the small armory sitting in the back of the van next to OddBall's mounted MMG. So I replied "I don't think so". That's when the Troll punched out one of the headlights. OddBall got really pissed at that so he gunned it into reverse and did a bootlegger that sent us sprawling. As the gangers started bouncing small arms fire off the van's armor, OddBall swung the van around so the back faced the roadblock and dropped the back ramp. Jake had an SMG in hand by then, and I pulled my Predator (for close encounters of course). The MMG in the back was mounted in the van compartment, pointing out the back just for such an occasion. The roar of the MMG filled the van as a stream of lead flew into the Troll, putting him out of action for a while. I fully expected the gangers to run after the fireworks display, but they simply holed up behind their barricade. OddBall keyed the MMG up and started to cut the roadblock to pieces when one of the fraggers popped his head up with a LAW rocket in hand. I don't know where the gangers have been getting this kind of hardware, but by the time he had aimed, Jake and I sent enough lead at his head to make him reconsider. Napalm decided that the game was over, and threw some kind of mana spell that left half of them unconscious. Jake jumped out the back spraying lead and chased the rest off, yelling curses in cityspeak the whole time. When we finally did get to the club, we had a great time. OddBall was a little upset about the headlight, but kinda liked all the bullet holes in the van. According to the United Nation's charter, the organization is dedicated to the preservation of peace, a mission it failed at during the EuroWars. The United Nations has become afflicted with the problems experienced by its predecessor, the League of Nations, and has thus lapsed into a state of being largely ineffectual. Fact: The organization has done precious little since the resolution of hostilities in 2033. Most nations, at best, pay it marginal "lip service" when it comes to its infrequent edicts, such that even in your own government the UCAS Ambassador to the United Nations is no longer considered a choice political appointment. And you are quite incorrect as to your postulation that the United Nations are the first thing Europeans have uniformly agreed upon. The League of Nations was formed in the wake of World War I, with most European nations participating in the new union; although it soon proved quite ineffectual. And as to your implications that we Europeans (although, given the range and scope of the cultures on this continent, grouping us together seems rather inappropriate) are a war-mongering group of peoples, to quote you: "What is it about the Euros that makes them fight so much? It seems to me you guys just don't know how to share a micro-continent effectively and are too rooted in your primitive tribal rivalries to actually get along with one another." What makes us fight so much? Although I feel that explaining the intricities of European diplomacy beyond the scope of this B.B.S., even undertaking such a proposition giving your limited American's-eye-view would make it profoundly difficult, still I am ne'er one to turn down an intellectual challenge: The fact is, that our little "micro-continent", as you so refer to it, is the birthplace of many and varied cultures and, later, nations. It is a fact exhibited throughout history that peoples with different cultures, different LANGUAGES, will experience friction with one another. The interest of a particular people will INEVITABLY come into conflict with another's. Further, this phenomena is by no means limited to Europe. Permit me to illustrate this with your country's own history: Who was here first? The Native American tribes. And what did most colonists take to (some sooner, some later) in their association with these peoples, with their comparatively alien cultures and customs? Why, WAR with these tribes. I might ask you, mein Herr, as to why YOUR forefathers could not share and EVEN LARGER continent with the native inhabitants already present there. You might counter with the fact that early colonists were nothing more than displaced Europeans. However, I would riposte with inquiring as to policies of the new American government. Did these hostilities, intermittent up until the latter part of the 1800s (such as in the War of 1812 and the Indian Wars much later in the century), cease because your country managed to come to an equitable solution with the Indians? Ganz und gar nicht! Through FORCE OF ARMS, your ancestors interred them on reservations. The only reason open warfare has not become extinct on the European continent is that no single nation has succeeded in either completely destroying or incarcerating the myriad other cultures. If anything, following the American model, you should accuse us of not being quite so proficient at destroying our enemies, at breaking their will, as the United States. Further, how many miserable little wars did your country experience, or almost experience, with England? Is the Atlantic Ocean not bit enough for the both of you? Also, to your peculiar tangent upon the break-up of the former United States: You are missing my point entirely. I never implied the UN should have prevented the dismemberment of the American republic. I was simply attempting to illustrate the fact that since the time of its dissolution, its successor, the UCAS, simply is NOT the power America once was. In line with this, I was expressing the fact that the selections for permanent members of the UN Security Council are hopelessly out of date. Russia, France, and America are presently impotent, especially when compared to their predecessors. If anything, Aztlan and the Confederate American States are the powers on the North American continent, NOT UCAS. And as to Europe, well...it certainly is not France, but I believe that England does still merit its position. My final point, upon which I shall close: As to the question of the UN's effectiveness, I would refute the hypothesis that it hinges upon its inclination to do so. Admittedly, this may have been the case in the twentieth century. And yes, I do agree many nations did use the United Nations as a tool for legitimizing their actions to the international community, with various results. Today, however, most of the major powers are content to permit individuals to call forth for global unity in the United Nations General Assembly room, whilst going merrily on their way out in the real world. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <17:25:50/03-11-54> >>>>>[ Erstens, Nightfox, I believe that Flare was speaking figuratively when he suggested "nuking them from orbit". After my first 3 years I found out what it meant to be down and out, I was seriously wounded more than once. In my 6th year I was assigned to a new subdepartment of CID, who's base objective was to find currupt political figures, and investigate corporate ties to political groups. This went quite well for about a 6 monthes until we got into a MAJOR situation envolving a "generic" corporation's security team, two of my men were killed in the ambush, we nailed four of them, but we could not identify there "colors". Someone set us up, but that 20/20 hind sight, at the time we thought we were getting close and we were just unlucky (DAMN it sucks when someone else is pulling your chains). Anyway, our investigation lead to some real intresting political changes, one Senator retired after our group discovered that he was supported by not only Humanis but also by MOM (Mothers of Metahumans), a month later he was found dead in his residents, the local police corp. called it suicide (right, I would love to try to kill myself, by emasculation), my guess is that Humanis got to him (that is their favorite way to kill men, who are labled traders). Well after the 2148 elections there was a large turn over in the government, and by some wierd way, the number one person on our investigation list was placed in change of law enforcement budget. As the first year went by our arrest record increased, however our budget decreased, six months into the first year out budget was cut in half. We were looking into another well known corporation, mostly their finanical transaction when the plug was pulled. We were very distressed, but there was nothing we could do, the department grew up to this point to 22 agents, most were reassigned to CID, 10 of us decided that we sould end our contracts. After a month none of us could get a job, not even as a security guard, then it happen...first it seemed like an accident one of our former co-worker was killed in a car accident (now looking back at it, it looks like this drek faced SOB has placed a contract on us through his Yakuza connecton). Later that same year two more old friends were killed in Europe, well working for a group out of Germany. We got back together and decided that as individuals we were as good as dead, we had very little money so, we decided to have our decker clear our records with UCAS and CID and set us up as unknowns. After meeting the man himself ( oh he is cool I could have melted when he look ed at me with those absolutly crazy eyes. It makes your heart flutter girls it really does. Next he says 'come on you wanted me to show you the town remember'. So it was off down to one of oddballs vans (real smooth). Any way you have seen the story of what happend. But you had to be their to have been there to have believed the bootleg oddball pulled it was like flipping a coin on a knife blade. Not that I could see much after I was smoothered by mitch to prevent me from getting hit. ( He really overacts sometimes ) Any way we were in no real danger with a team like dark elfs laying down fire. Though their was a slight bit of concern when that LAW was pointed at us. ( Not like uptown seattle). Where do these people get this stuff I mean come on its not like I can find one in the candy store is it. To me this is worrying and I think D.E. was rarther put out by it. Anyway once the mess had been cleaned up and oddball had finished checking the van and moaning about the amount of scratchs be had picked up we headed of to this supposedly hip nightclub. This place was something to be seen and the evening was to say the least, mega- fun. This place dedd looks like nothing I'v seen you step inside and your are hit by the reality change. For one it was like stepping into a gothic horror. There were skulls that housed lights that pulsed and sent a miryid of tecnicolour gloom out across the whole of the club. Then their were the gargolyes and manikins that hung down from the ceiling of were attached to the walls real warped stuff in some places personally crossing the modern art pure sick bondry (but hey I an't a critic) anyway the gang seem to know what they wanted and headed towards a small booth. The music came through wave after wave pulsing and turning and making you shiver it was weird. Poor old mitch didn't know were to look I think this place was a bit to much for his more classical sense. He was toataly off guard when a particualy scanty clad young lady rubbed up against him and whispered something to him. He was rescued by Jake which seemed to break the ice between these two as we all laughed at this from our booth. The evening seemed to flow by first of all we talked for a bit Napalm trying to explain the varient spell he had thrown that evening but I don't think many were to bothered as long it worked. Poor oddball kept muttering about how much a new lamp unit would cost and about plate changes I felt quite sorry that I insisted about going out. Dark Elf was quite for the most asking me what I thought of the club and generaly pumping me for information about myself.(What is it about deckers that want makes them want to know every little thing about everybody its quite worrying if I am going to start doing it.) The music was turned up as the evening went by so at times conversation becaame impossible. So I just sat and observed for a while before I got up to dance. This place was so unreal the strobes flashed and flashed until the manikins seemed to move in a crazy dance. I really felt faint a couple of times. Mitch said he hadn't noticed ( then I had to remind him about his cyber eyes, great mind, mitch great mind). There was a slight skuffle over by the entrence as someone who was not welcome obviously wanted in. I thought there was going to be more trouble as a couple of young razor lads busted in taking a slice outer the doorman. But they didn't even make it down four of the steps before they were intercepted by these couple of guys who came out of the shadows. They must either have been cybered or phys adepts for the whole thing was over in about three moves. I saw one of them connect with a razor guys head and to put it nicely, from the angle the neck snapped back I don't think these guys would be hassleing anyone again. Dark Elf had no comment to make about the action and said that I should expect things like this in a popular place like this. Yea well I thought right. Anyway, I was begining to find the place getting slightly claustrophobic more and more people were arriving and the place wasn't getting any bigger. I must say i do not like these new sounds they are to weird thats the only way to describe them The whole set began to feel like a bad trip with the lights the chains and the skulls. Anyway dark elf saw that I was tired and suggested we cut the evening short. Mitch didn't care although I did notice that a fair few glasses were staking up between him and Jake. They seemed to be enjoying there little talk about how big a caliber round you need to go through a armoured windshield ( I think they were winding oddball up a bit for he was not impressed with this conversation). Naplalm had drifted of to talk with a few people or should I say everyone. He certinly knows people around here to say the least. The journey home was not as adventurous as that as journey out. (Not that I minded). Mitch was moaning slightly to Jake about not getting a round off. ( I mean what is it with this guys and this matcho gun crap hey something I will never understand). When we got back to the pad we had a drink sat down and had a little talk about what we would do tomorrow.( so much for being tired ) Napalm wanted to have a look at my magic capabilities and go over my couple of fetishes ( no that there's much I could never hack it as a mage ) The thing i am really looking for is when dark elf either goes over my deck or takes me for a ride across new yorks grid. Nothing too difficult, just some white IC between me and MagnaTech's personnel files, then some more white IC and a trace and report over in Precision Arts for the deeper files. While it wasn't the most exciting run to me, Wytchwind got a kick out of riding on the hitcher jack. Mich seemed fascinated with the vidscreen version of what was going on too. They'll get used to it. Anyway, in MagnaTech I found that Kevin Fung (PhD Bioengineering and a masters in biochemistry) was the leader of something only referred to as the Alpha project, which we now know to have been the project that created Tommy Harada. I didn't dig any deeper on that thread since I already have the data from the clone lab. Alpha project is not much of a mystery anymore. What I found interesting was a reference in his file that mentioned a transfer to Precision Arts special projects division in Seattle. So I crossed LTG's and to take a better look at precision (last time I was in that part of the matrix I was too busy fighting MONICA to take a look). Percision was a little tougher to crack. A couple of simple white IC at the SAN and an SPU proved easy. The datastore had a trace and report and was a nice shade of orange. The trace started, but didn't have a chance against my relocate, but Wytchwind was starting to get nervous so I crashed it before it could start another. After decrypting the file on Fung, I discovered that he was in charge of the enigmatic "Omega project" at percision that Harada found evidence of. I no longer wonder why he's on Omega Island's cabinet, he's the labcoat that's been carrying out Quention's plot, and creating life in ways not meant to be. DOA, if you're still out there, let me know if you remember anything about a Doctor Kevin Fung from your experiences with Percision, that is if you remember anything from that time. The direct link to MagnaTech's Seattle office was still up so I took Wytchwind to see the node where MONICA was defeated (or rather defeated herself). There is still a residual glow from the ASIST overload when she died. The node is noticably brighter than others around it. I scanned the node for fragments of AI code and came up nil, theres just a slight modification to the simsense signal, nothing more. No trace of MONICA RUFUS or Splut (rest in peace friend) It doesn't look like she'll be back to haunt us. Had to make a quick stop at "Decker's Haven" to compare notes with some of the local talent, and see if they know anything useful then jacked out. However, this is what my efforts have revealed: Name: Wendel Dwayne Trevor, Sr. Race: Human Rank: Lieutenant General, UCAS Army Current Assignment: Quartermaster's Office Born: June 13, 1994 Place of Birth: Philadelphia Nationality: American Parents: Dwayne Harrison Trevor - DECEASED Jessica (Rheinhart) Trevor - DECEASED Siblings: None Marital Status: Married / 1 child Magical Ability: Hermetic Mage Education: United States Military Academy at West Point B.S. : Metaphysics ( MIT&T ) Name: Roger Quention Race: Human Occupation: Board Member, MagnaTech Corporation Born: August 29, 2005 Place of Birth: New York Nationality: American Parents: Edward Quention - DECEASED Marylee (Turner) Quention - DECEASED Siblings: None Marital Status: Unmarried Magical Ability: Hermetic Mage Education: ThD : Thaumaturgy (MIT&T) PhD : Computer Science (MIT&T) Trevor graduated from West Point in the Class of 2016. Following this, he was sent to various bases across the world, eventually being assigned to a NATO detachment based in England during the period preceding the EuroWars. The then Lt. Colonel Trevor was involved in Military Intelligence and Special Forces. As any student of UCAS history knows, America, following its successful union with Canada, had started a withdrawal of its military presence world-wide. At the onset of the hostilities in 2031, the newly-formed UCAS government began an evacuation of its armed forces from the territories involved in the conflict, ostensibly for reasons of lacking constitutional authority to involve them in the war (the UCAS constitution had not, as of this time, been ratified). However, when ratification came, the policy of non-intervention continued. A fact which is often lost upon historians of this era is that despite strong isolationist sentiment at home, the military units concerned oftentimes did not share this view. [ Historically, armies are frequently reluctant to pull out from a theater of operations where they have strongly dedicated themselves to a cause, especially when it has ideological ramifications. ] Many in the military felt that the government's unwillingness to stand with the rest of NATO to oppose the aggressive acts of Russia, as exemplified in the UCAS House Speaker Kenneth Steiner's terming it as a "border dispute", was fatally short-sighted. This was true in the case of the ambitious Colonel Trevor. After lodging a series of protests with his (largely sympathetic) superior officers, Trevor managed to have himself assigned as an observer of the struggle developing between NATO and the Warsaw Pact. Trevor apparently already had met Quention at this time, as he was a member of the colonel's unit. Quention has a rather shady past as a hired mercenary for the UCAS CIA. By the time he came into contact with Trevor, Quention had apparently already performed a number of "services" for the Agency. Officially, Quention was termed a "civilian specialist" to the Army, and his files identify him as a Mr. James Nelson Hall. However, the photographs I have managed to appropriate thus far display a positive match between the likeness of Hall and Quention. Quention graduated from MIT&T with a peculiar marriage of disciplines: He double-majored in Thaumaturgy and Computer Science, and he would later earn doctoral degrees in both. The profile of James Hall in the UCAS Army records depicts the man as a possessing an intellect at the level of a genius with an uncanny knowledge of computer science and theory. Although, upon viewing the records of this Herr Hall, I cannot think but they were fabricated--by an expert, mind you, but fabricated nevertheless. The majority of records of the management of the Copenhagen chemical factory in question, Stavenhagen Chemical Research, have been lost completely (However, I have I few candidates in mind for questioning as to the location of copies might be). The last year they filed income tax under their old name was 3032, and for a period from September to October, there is no record of any shipments, either received or dispatched. In fact, there is no indication of any activity _whatsoever_ by Stavenhagen for those two months. At this time, Trevor's unit was conspicuously absent from its post for a period of not less than one month: September 24 to October 25. Ostensibly, they were under orders from Trevor, but no reports regarding their actions were ever filed with the Army. According to the Ministry of Commerce in Denmark, Stavenhagen filed for bankruptcy in October, citing chronic loss of funds during the previous five years, and was re-opened under new management and a new name: Omega Chemical Research and Production Company. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <22:28:50/03-12-54> >>>>>[ Understandably, some of those above Lt. Col. Trevor took a decidedly dim view of the disappearance of his men for such an extended duration of time. Trevor's superior officer, Colonel Max Starke, threatened disciplinary action against Trevor for subordination and acting outside the chain of command. It is not known if Starke knew of the actual actions of Trevor's group, or if he simply did not accept Trevor's excuses for his men's absence from their post. Before any charges could be filed, however, the colonel suffered from a fatal stroke on May 23. Despite the death of Starke, the investigation was carried through, although it was almost five months later. Trevor was cleared of all charges, his explanation being that his unit had been sent to observe upon naval activities of the Red Banner Northern Fleet regarding a possible amphibious landing near Hamburg. [ As it turned out, this rumor was borne out by subsequent events, in the Soviet's Operation: Gadyuka (Viper), and thereby perhaps added credence to Trevor's story. ] Quention's and Trevor's motivation regarding the acquisition of the chemical production facility is not easy to determine. What is known, according to UCAS and CAS law enforcement agency reports (e.g. the FBI) that many East Coast Yakuza organizations started supplying the streets with new types of narcotics and other mind-altering substances. Chemical analysis conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed them to be synthetic in their origin. I would conclude that Trevor's and Quention's association with the New York Yakuza clan started approximately at this time. Many of the attribute boosting, but nevertheless detrimental, so-called "combat drugs" appeared alongside the new narcotics. This opened a potentially even bigger market, all of it administrated by the Yakuza, although there is definite evidence of Mafia involvement in some areas. Following the war, James Hall quit his military service, and immediately drops from sight. According to records in UCAS, he was apparently killed in a car accident in Pittsburgh in 2034. The body was burned beyond recognition, and he was identified by items that survived the crash, as he had no known relatives. Quention--under his real name--at the same time enrolled in MIT&T's graduate studies program. While there, he roomed with Trevor's only son, Wendel Jr. By the time of Quention's and Wendel Jr.'s graduation in 2042, Trevor had managed to achieve the rank of Lieutenant General, and a new assignment, his office was put in charge of administrating various procurement jobs and contracts for the Army. This very powerful position would be used later for the general's own ends, apparently. The two young men immediately began working together in a rather modest investment company, Dark Horse Securities. Dark Horse, it seems, was rather down upon its fortunes until young Trevor and Quention joined. The two soon shifted the firm's emphasis to specializing in speculation for those (for either professional or personal reasons) preferred to remain anonymous (so-called "shadowtrading"). The twosome's transactions became the bulwark of Dark Horse's business, and the firm's financial records indicate that the two's endeavors turned out to be quite lucrative. Unfortunately for them, rumors began to circulate about their transactions being, shall we say, somewhat less than legitimate. During the same period, the general himself was subject to an investigation involving charges of corruption and financial opportunism in the use of his office. Then, in 2044, Wendel Jr. moved to a larger, better reputed firm. Whether it was due to the investigator's satisfaction that Wendel Jr. was moved into more legal manipulations of the stock market, that the accusations lacked any substance, or even that the evidence was subject to a cover-up, the fact is that the charges were dropped soon after Wendel Jr.'s move to the larger firm. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <22:38:30/03-12-54> >>>>>[ With his position still intact and with the steady source of income, [ considering estimates by American law enforcement agencies of the profits garnered by the new drugs alone in East Coast (which was soon to be all of North America, via Yakuza connections )], Trevor and Quention embarked upon a few personal projects. In Trevor's writings during his time spent at West Point, he ofttimes discussed the possibility of manufacturing soldiers, which, if used in large numbers, could prove the most effective fighting force on earth [ The actual writing of his theses is rather dry, as he exhibits the marked tendency to pontificate for some time on a theoretical offshoot of his hypothesis (and I am not even mentioning when he attacks the singularly thorny issue of the morality of such an experiment)...I would suggest a stiff drink if forced to read them]. Whether it was for these motivations or any of countless others would be nearly impossible to prove without engaging in discourse with the general himself. Nevertheless, the fact remains that in 2045 Trevor (and Quention, although not officially) came forth to the UCAS Department of Defense with a proposal for a (I am certain you already have guessed it) super-soldier program involving large amounts of biological research and genetic engineering. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <22:43:42/03-12-54> >>>>>[ It seems that we have been sorrowfully misled regarding this project's name, some sources indicate the existence of an Alpha Project, and others an Omega Project. Within the Department of Defense's files I have happened upon the truth of the matter: It was the Alpha Omega Project (for those of you who have not perceived the obvious biblical reference, Jesus Christ said of himself in Revelations 21:6, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and first and the last." ) Although it is not mentioned, I would venture to guess that the name was proposed by Roger Quention himself, if he is truly deserving of this reputation of arrogance he has managed to gain on the Grid. But to the project itself: Trevor was proposing a long-term bionic and genetic engineering research program for the production of the "perfect" combat weapon, ein Uebersoldat (super-soldier) of sorts. The project obviously necessitated a large investment of time and considerable funds, without any certainty of success. The policy of the administration in power, however, would frustrate Trevor's efforts. The UCAS government, continuing its policy of non- intervention which had its origins during the EuroWars, had made drastic defense spending cuts across the board. In spite of the Department's fascination with the Project's possibilities, due to budgetary restraints (especially considering there was some question of Trevor and Quention's projected figures in terms of expense to be a bit conservative) they rejected the proposal, much to the disgust of Trevor, who filed several heated letters of protest to the Department, the Chiefs of Staff, and anyone else who came to mind. ( The letters are rather amusing, actually... To hear him rant and rave about denial of destiny, et cetera. ) Due to the fact that Tommy Harada actually exists, one would correctly assume that Trevor and Quention were undaunted in their resolve to undertake this project. In 2046, Quention, striking out on his own, left Dark Horse. His subsequent solo endeavors earned him much renown (and profit, especially for his clandestine clients). This extensive involvement in securities ultimately culminated with Quention taking a position on the Board of Directors of the MagnaTech Corporation, based in New York. MagnaTech, a mongrel of a company, is the end product of a plethora of mergers and takeovers of various and sundry other technological and security firms. When Quention joined, the company, like Dark Horse Securities before it, was experiencing hard times. General Trevor, who apparently had not learned his lesson from a few years previous, bestowed upon this new firm the majority of his procurement and defense contracts administered by his office--a majority of 67%, to be exact. True, MagnaTech did manage to underbid many larger compeditors for many of the projects; however, such an overwhelming majority strikes me as incapable of being the result of coincidence. Following Quention's joining the firm, and the receipt of several large government contracts, fortunes took a dramatic turn for the better for MagnaTech. The company soon began to lead the industry in biomechanical research, but far more mysterious, was that the corporation was actually generating profits during times when other similar firms were experiencing considerable financial stress. But despite this success, instead of expanding the comparatively modest MagnaTech operation (relative to other MegaCorps) the vast majority of their profit went into their biomechanical division laboratories. And analysis of their records indicates a number of contributions by "private patrons". They practically cover the books. It is interesting to note that after performing a few computations, once one subtracts these "anonymous investors," MagnaTech was actually LOSING money. All available funds were apparently going to Bio R&D. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <22:56:13/03-12-54> >>>>>[ In regards to the earlier referred to "private patrons" of MagnaTech: Where did these funds come from, you might inquire? Well, I would imagine most shadowrunners out there are not naive enough to believe that large groups of unseen investors contributed due to the innate kindness of their hearts. As has already been mentioned, there is considerable evidence to suggest that the Yakuza was funding, at least in part, this operation. General Trevor was also generating large amounts of revenue from presenting MagnaTech with defense contracts. Upon further scrutiny of Trevor and the UCAS Army's activities, it is clear (at least to me) that there was nearly ubiquitous siphoning of funds from military Research & Development programs. On the face of it, the amounts are almost imperceptible; a very experienced technomancer apparently constructed a code for the purpose of minute extraction of funds from several accounts such that, although at any one time the loss would seem inconsequential, when taken in sum, it is surprisingly large. The trail of these funds leads through a maze of various banks and other monetary institutions ultimately to the MagnaTech system (as if this were in the least bit shocking...). Further, through a friend with _extensive_ underworld and organized crime connections, I have managed to confirm the speculation that also in 2047 the powerful Yakuza clan in New York, the Shingen Komatsu, did, in fact, forge an agreement with Quention for helping bankroll the new biomechanics division of MagnaTech, launched by Quention upon taking his position on the board. As to progress of the Alpha Omega Project, that has been harder to determine. There has been a conscientious effort by those involved in this case (former MagnaTech administrators, Yoshida Technologies, and Dragon's Den International) to acquire and delete all files pertaining to the project since this incident became public (at least in the shadows). There is next to nothing remaining in the MagnaTech mainframe. However, I gleaned the files at Omega Chemical Research & Production, which revealed a few bits of data. I then recalled Dark Elf's cyberknight companion, Big Jake, once mentioning a visit to the South American headquarters of MagnaTech, located in Rio de Janeiro This revelation proved to be key to many of the mysteries still plaguing this case. Do not be misled: The files I found were by no means complete or comprehensive as I would have hoped; nevertheless, they do manage to authenticate much of what we think is true of the Alpha Omega Project. The files begin with some nearly inscrutable technical jargon in biotechnology, biomechanical research, et cetera (which truly is not my field...I'm a doctor of the military, natural, and computer sciences; however, I do intend to have a colleague peruse it for me). There are several references to donors. Each "clone", if you will, had a genetic heritage, in varying degrees, from five different donor. Alpha donor was primary to the body and physique. Donors Beta, Gamma, and Delta contributed what were considered desirable traits to this base. The Omega donor was for the mental make-up of the clone, and in all cases, this donor was Roger Quention. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <23:02:08/03-12-54> >>>>>[ Apparently, for all the revenue they funneled into the endeavor, only two of the subjects were truly viable. The remaining few examples either never attained life (according to records, they expired almost instantly following disconnection), or were unable to be implanted with the "Theta cycle" process that involves some far advanced form of skill soft cyberware, as near as I can guess, which was used, in part, for the formation of the clone subject's minds and cognitive abilities. These "failures", if you will, were used as servile biological androids until the genetic defects caused expiration (in all cases, within 6 months of being "activated"). The remaining two were called the Alpha and Omega Weapons, respectively, although the researchers could not determine exactly what permitted the process to function in their cases. Their studies led to speculating that an uncontrolled random mutation (termed X-factor in the documents) facilitated the process. Although, if it truly existed, they were unsuccessful in isolating it. Tommy Harada was Alpha, and--as the name implies--was the first. He became operational on January 22, 2049, which was the day he was unhooked from synthetic life support to begin training. The second, Omega, became operational later that year, on September 24. So, if Quention can be called Harada's father, Omega was his brother. Much of the story of Omega Weapon was inadvertantly uncovered by Jaez, the Debutante Technomancer. In copies of security reports I managed to locate, there is the retelling of his escape. Omega was designed to be the stronger, more aggressive version of Alpha, which included considerably more of the natural bioware including chemical and programmed tendencies for aggression, but the differences ran deeper: Quention was both the alpha and omega donor for Omega Weapon, a distinct difference. Apparently, he was possessed with a desire for freedom one night. His natural abilities and programmed cunning permitted him an easy escape, assisted by the fact that his creators seemingly did not anticipate the possibility of this eventuality. A manhunt ensued, and it became readily apparent that Omega was unwilling to go quietly. Following a shooting on a UCAS freeway, law enforcement officials, including CIA, FBI, and New York State Patrolmen and a UCAS Ranger unit swept through upstate New York. (Do you generate the impression they had been at very least appraised as to some of the capabilities of the opposition?) Following eluding the dragnet on no less than three occasions, the forces concentrated upon his position, and a protracted firefight utilizing automatic weapons, incendiaries, and grenades resulted. After several hours of siege, they successfully neutralized Omega. As Jaez said, the reports indicate that in the final few engagements, Omega's actions became increasingly erratic and desperate. This could be a result of the (perhaps unwise) decision of his creators to "program" him to be far more aggressive. Alternatively, he could have realized his life, his very existence, was at stake. Very little of the corpse was left, although the description superficially matches that of Tommy Harada. Subsequent evens, such as the oblivious investigators matching the genetic codes with that of Quention (and one can just imagine as to what sort of difficulties that could have generated), caused the information and case to be suppressed. Meanwhile, Alpha Weapon, soon to be dubbed Tommy "The Dragon" Harada, finished his training, and started what the laboratory reports term as "field testing", which can only mean his time spent with the New York Yakuza clan, and I can only conclude this was of the conditions of Quention's agreement. ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <23:08:02/03-12-54> >>>>>[ I have news regarding the Copenhagen chemical factory. Due to my being overcome with excitement, I have determined to permit the newsFAX [extracted from this evening's 2200 hours (PST) report speak for itself: >>BEGIN TRANSMISSION<< SHADOWS: "This is Joe Shadows, reporting for National Network, speaking to you from just outside of Copenhagen, where tragedy and destruction have recently disturbed the serenity of this community. Local Danes were awakened from their slumber by a tremendous explosion that rocked the surrounding area at approximately 2:15am. At the center of the blast was Omega Chemical Research and Production Company, an American firm based here, and was, before this morning, a very profitable member of the business community here. You can see behind me the ruins of the facility...the fires have been successfully put out a few hours ago, some of them chemical fires which posed quite a difficulty for local firefighters. Investigators on the scene believe the explosion to be the result of overstressed equipment and improper safety precautions. Volatile chemicals stored on the premises added to the conflagration, leaving very little of the facility intact. The blast was so loud, that we have received reports it was heard for miles around. Malmo, the Swedish city just across a 20 to 30 kilometer strip of the Baltic Sea heard the explosion. Also, the S.M.S. Friedrich Der Grosse, lead ship in a Prussian carrier group SOME 50 TO 60 KILOMETERS OUT TO SEA and bound for its home naval base, communicated to the Danish authorities at 2:25am, I quote: "We have monitored a large explosion in your general vicinity at approximately 0220 hours...." They went on to ask if help was needed. Despite the generosity of the offer, Danish authorities decided to decline. KRISTIN: An interesting gesture... What about injuries and property damage? SHADOWS: Figures on fatalities are quite sketchy at the moment, as firefighters are still sifting through the wreckage. So far, there have been at least 50 bodies found, none of which survived the detonation of the chemical stores. Although no names have been released yet, I would imagine most of them to be security men. In the area surrounding the plant trees were flattened, there have been many injuries, but not reported deaths from areas outside the compound as of yet. There was some structural damage, especially to smaller buildings, from the huge gust of wind, but nothing substantial. Without doubt, the buildings inside the compound itself are considered total losses, as practically none of the structures survived, as you can see behind me. Actually, the community was rather lucky, in that despite its proximity to the city, the plant is actually rather isolated from other buildings and residential areas. When asked about the incident, the Burgermeister Wilhelm Vanderwege blamed international terroristic factions and cited the high number of jobs lost to be of utmost importance. In fact, . . . KRISTIN: Uhhhh...THANK YOU, Shadows. What further information we've managed to put together about Omega is that it was operated by American interests, and records we have obtained name a Mr. James N. Hall of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as the owner and CEO. Neither Mr. Hall nor any of the top executives of the firm could not be reached for comment by the time of this broadcast. We will have further updates as we get more information about the blast. In other news... Denmark seems to be the place for unusual goings-on as of late, as in another bizarre incident, airtraffic across Denmark was put on hold for nearly 5 hours this morning, from midnight to 5:30am. Many planes had to be re-routed to other airports in Sweden and Norway, or even London in a few cases. The delay was due to an freak failure of most of the RADAR and tracking stations across the country. The cause of this problem has not yet been isolated, but the systems were successfully brought back on line and appear to be functioning normally, and airtraffic has since been resumed. >>END TRANSMISSION<< ]<<<<< -- Doctor Doom <00:55:25/03-13-54> >>>>>[ What?
