The high pitched whine of a turbo kicks in and the van jumps forward
hitting the 100kph range in the tight streets. 

Basalisk:  Contact dead ahead alt. 100m range 1 klick. 

PlagueRat: Head to head I love this job! 

The WarBeast bucks to the right as the turrent whirls on its magnetic
bearing s trying to track the chopper.  The roar of a hmg on full rock and
roll pound s the vans occupents but is quickly drowned out by the
answering fire from the chopper.  The multiple impacts froce the beast
into a spin.  As the van rotates the turrent keeps tracking and a dumps a
load of depleted uranium in to the choppers main turbine.  The chopper
fights for altitude but the Beasts fire tracks through the cockpit ending
all chance of a recovery. 

As the fireball rises the Warbeast drives through the wreckage and into
the oncoming interceptors. 

PlagueRat: Your gonna love this move. 

The turrent receeds and as the WarBeast pushes the redline and heedless of
the interceptors fire charges them.  A little zigzag causes the star's to
spread out.  At a range of 10m the PlagueRat deploys one of the beasts
SMG's and chops off the inner front tires of the two vehicles.  They begin
to swerve in as the WarBeast slips between them.  A second fireball begins
to blossom as the Warbeast ducks around a corner.  end sensor feed*****

she'd give it up for that performance.

I must add that this is a file that I typed up after the battle and just

I should also say that it looks like we will all live. I don't know if I
really want to . . . 

Anyway, here goes. Doc Grizzle, before the attack in the safehouse,
confided in me and one other person, what Firewraith's true name is. We
debated on what should be done about her, but Doc Grizzle was hesitant to
act. Blitzkrieg's instructions were clear, if she falls into Hammer's
hands (I don't think he was expecting her to be in someone else's hands)
to either free her, or if that fails, destroy her permanently. 

Well I finally got off enough courage to go do just that. I must have
slipped in my thoughts, and before I knew it Diana and WHAT were coming
with me. I should have resisted. DragonEyes and the others are working as
best as they can to save their lives even as I type this. *sniff*

Gods, it hurts to type. Anyway, we decided the time was right. We
transcended the boundry of astral space into the metaplanes taking What
with us. The Dweller took on the form of Blitzkrieg. He aired out our
skeletons in the closet. I must say it is ever unnerving to have that
happen. Though it did give me insight as to why What demanded to come
along. 

The quest was going along fine. We first went to what I would call
Destiny's home. We fought ourselves, each individually. I couldn't see
what What and Diana went through, but it had been a long time, since I was
that challenged. It gave me the full idea, of what we were in for. I
finished up dealing with my own problem at the same time, What and Diana
did. We all were a little bit worn from that. 

It wasn't getting any easier when we had to deal with the fears. What I
faced was a race to find an item in what must have been a concentration
camp. I raced against 2 enemies. Hammer and one that I never quite saw. I
almost lost it there too.  What came out of that one looking pretty tired,
but Diana seemed to have handled that one quite fine. 

But we got to our goal.  And Firewraith was there to greet us. Her opening
words were: "Why the hell did you have to make me do this?!?" She opened
up an attack, engulfing all of us in flames. What, in his interesting
dress of normal clothes with a scarf that I think is related to football,
got hit pretty hard by it. Firewraith was even quicker than I remember and
she was much more powerful than the last time we met. I guess What's
grayness in the astral was the reason that he got hit so hard.  Diana and
I responded with spells. Unfortunately, we were to busy with her to
realize that she sent a message off, to somewhere. That hurt us worst. I
was hammering her with every spell I could think of, and Diana was doing
much of the same. What got the brave idea to actually go into hand to hand
with Firewraith. It would have worked, but he got tackled from behind.
Apparently she had friends willing to help out. It took me a second to see
through the mask.  In that second, Firewraith got through my shielding,
hurting me badly. Diana, tried helping me out, but there was more company. 

Before, I go further, I should say that it was definitely Hammer with his
masking that I saw. He invisions himself to close to reality for it to be
otherwise. Unfortunately, with What already hurt, Hammer just wiped the
floor with What. But it was Firewraith who got the last blow on What.
While I was trying to figure out who the newcomer who had masked himself
as a Wraith. I couldn't figure out who he/she was. Diana at this point was
losing steam rapidly. She switched from using what I guess were manabolts
to something that was area of effect. Unfortunately, everybody there
involved in this fight were too fast.  Firewraith, yet again engulf us,
before Diana could get off another spell. What screamed, and was sent back
to real world. Diana and I were badly burned. But it didn't stop there.
Diana got her spell off, which wasn't that effective due to shielding that
was up. Hammer moved to engage Diana. 

It is sad ... in the end before I got to tangled up with this Wraith
thingy, I could almost see the lightbulb go on over Diana's head. I think
she figured out that she was dealing with Hammer. And went after him. I
got doubled teamed. Desperate to get to Diana, wasn't fairing well against
Hammer (too good of a fraggin' adept to engage in hand to hand....) I
launched off a desperate two pronged spell. One went at this wraith that
had no effect. The other slammed into Firewraith. It worked like a charm.
It severed her from any connection she had to anyone, and effectively took
her out of combat. I hope it didn't kill her. 

Needless to say this enraged the other two. I don't really know what
happened to Diana (gods please say she is going to be okay), but I can
guess. Hammer probably disarmed her, and then stabbed her with her own
knife. But as I said, I wasn't looking.  This wraith guy casted this wierd
spell. This black net appeared out of nowehere. Slowly, it got closer and
closer. I could feel my life draining away. The wraith was only
concentrating on the web. Hammer, as far as I can tell, went back to real
world. But he missed a real interesting ending to this. As I was fading
back and forth from consciousness, the wraith drew a sword. The sword
blazed with electrical currents. And said to me: "Your meddling was not
appreciated, Bruce. Your friends interference is even less. Your don't
understand what your Nightmare represents, and know you dare to come to
ruin my plans. Diana may live. What may live, but you... your dreams will
always be mine.  Know that I am Nightmare. You're life has come to an
end... 

He raised his sword to cut me down, but a fire bolt came out of the
nothingness. I was burned by it. Nightmare was just knocked down. He
looked at me, and said , "Very well, you'll die this way."

The net closed. I saw my life past before me. And I just heard laughter,
blaming me for bringing death onto everyone. Blaiming me for the death of
Crystal, who I never knew. For the capture of Doomsday, Phoenix,
Blitzkreig in S.E. Asia. Blaiming me for the attack on Phoenix at hands of
Firewraith. Blitzkrieg's capture by Nightmare. Doc Grizzle's death.
Phoenix's death. The pain of the loses we have suffered since trying to
get everyone to safety. And the knowledge that I let Firewraith, What and
worst of all, Diana, down in this last fight. The last thought I had, was
the bitter fault, that I would never find love, because I always manage to
kill it off.  Then everything went black. 

I woke up, which surprised me. DragonEyes looke real tired. He told me
that they were still working on What and Diana. But that they are
extremely touch and go right now. He said I lost some of my spirit in what
had happened. I . . . tried to offer my help, but his response was that I
would only kill myself. So I was left to typing what had happened, slowly. 
Gods the pain hurts so much. And yet it is nothing compared to knowing
that I just might have killed Diana. . . ]<<<<<

The scene opens on a street in front of a warehouse.  Figures are running
towards the front door.  The figures are identified as Hammerhead, TK,
Blaze, and Bloodstryke.  A armed vehicle that you recognize as CoHort's
Crawler drone leads the way by crashing through the front door.  The group
splits up to begin scouring the warehouse.  By the jostling of the
picture, it is obvious that Frosty is sprinting.  The dark hallway passes
by and appears to be abandoned. Suddenly, the camera turns and begins
sprinting towards the north side of the building.  You see the group
gathered behind a crate with thier weapons drawn. 

Frosty glances over the crate down a dimly lit hallway.  The group follows
the drone forward.  As the drone barrels through a partially open door,
sparks begin to fly off of it as bullets try to pierce the armor.  The
drone returns fire and then advances.  The group follows into the room. 
Two bodies are seen slumping over a light machine gun mount. 

Bloodstryke is the first to react as he dives for cover.  The rest scatter
as a stream of auto-fire flys from the hallway. 

The chaotic swayings of the video make it hard to determine what is going
on, but perhaps a dozen gangers can be seen entering the melee.  The
camera locks onto a target and a bloody hole appears on the gangers chest. 
On the edges of the scene, TK can be seen charging into the gangers with a
katana and Hammerhead is rushing a tall ganger with a small hatchet in one
hand followed by a glowing fist.  Bloodstryke is positioned next to Frosty
and the fire from his weapon is methodically decimating the ranks of the
gangers. 

Suddenly, the camera whirls to the upperright as if Frosty was beeing spun
around.  The camera comes to rest on a stream of red flowing from a hole
in his black coat.  The camera then focuses on another group of figures
entering from another hallway.  These figures are covered from head to toe
in black armor and are moving with a fluidity that shows profesional
training and enhancements. 

The camera quickly scans the room.  Hammerhead is down, and TK is dragging
him to cover.  Bloodstryke is still holding off the gangers as blaze tries
to pin the newcomers.  The group seams to be cornered and pinned down. 
The camera focuses on a blur of movement heading towards exit hallway. A
large man is carrying a kicking kid under his arm.  Bl Blaze attempts to
run after the man but is sent diving for cover as the black clad soldiers
turn thier attention on him. 

Bloodstryke, TK, and the drone seem to have taken care of the gangers, but
the newcomers have disappeared.  The group runs down the hall after them,
but they are nowhere to be seen. --END OF FILE

Further more, magic does not have the drawback of destroying your
connection to magic, when it is done correctly of course.  Also, why would
an Adept want to have cybernetic spurs when his ability to focus his magic
into highly damaging attacks is much more effective.  Magic has been in
the sixth world for over 40 years now, but as of yet, no person that I
know of has implanted what would be termed orichalium cyber-implant spurs. 
"Why?", one might ask; possibly because it is not magically feasible or
because it has some unknown consequences, then again, maybe no-one has had
the money, incentive, time and knowledge to do this act.  Consider though
that anchoring a sustained manipulation spell on a set of "Forearm Snap
Blades" would be much less costly and almost as effective.  Given the
added bonus that one can anchor a series of different spells for different
occasions, this might be the more effective method.*****

Whoah.  Nice system.  You recognize a Shadowland hub, located in Germany
somewhere you suspect, with Solitaire and another persona in the node, as
well as the rapidly fading vestiges of a BIS trace program. 

Solitaire looks a LOT different.  The basic persona is still the same, but
the processing power you suspect is at her control with the Hyperdeck
appears to have Mp to spare on just the graphics.  Where she looked like a
child before, all ratty and tired, dressed in the outfit of a Gypsy and
carrying Tarot cards, now you can almost smell the sweat on her, see the
individual pores and eyelashes.  Impressive.

AJ looks like, well, AJ.  No real changes besides the fact he's really
slow. By the awkwardness of his movements, you know he isn't running a
very good deck and would guess, correctly, that he has never been a
decker, and very likely never will be.  But where he stands, and where his
Persona is is a suit of high tech armor filled with a mist.  No really big
surprise, given what you know of AJ, but you do recognize that not only is
his Icon the same designer as Solitaire's(she did sign them both), but
that the armor suit looks exactly like the suit he suited up in at the now
destroyed Denver not-so-safehouse.

Weel, you did call, and M. is getting a little annoyed that you haven't

off in never-never land for a while, and I've been dumping fraggin deckers
out of the Matrix around here every node I pass through.  Berlin says that
you are still making life difficult for them, but that you haven't
requested any of your standard goodies.  Nor have any of your partners in
crime, as it were. Why? 

Not sure, really.  Solitaire, I do want something though.  I want anything
you can get me along the lines of Blood replacement.  It'll give me an
edge that I may need here very shortly. 

Boss, you know that's not a good idea.  You remember what happens to you
when you take the artificial route.  Besides, right now you hardly have a
need for the extra energy.

Oops.  You see another persona entering the node, but this one is not a
friendlyface.  Definately a BIS decker.  Fast, dangerous, and scanning the
entier node for the others.  AJ's suit seems to melt away perfectly,
better than any Ruthenium in the physical world, and he goes unseen. 
Unfortunately for the BIS decker, he spots Solitaire(who isn't likely to
hide even if she really should).

Sucessfully blocking out the actual system messages, you realize that
Solitaire now has another new hole in her skirt.  A very small hole.  She
reaches down, passes a finger through the fabric, and looks up as he
begins to attack again. This time she just steps aside as the cannon's
bolt misses her totally(but amost strikes the place where AJ's persona was
last seen).  You see her pull out a beautiful rectangular package.  A red
ceder box, with golden hinges and a platinum clasp and an onyx an ivory
inlaid design on the lid.  She patiently opens it, exposing a much smaller
inside lined with black silk.  And she very quietly removes her cards,
replacing the box in her pocket.  Time seems to have stood still, and you
can see her begin to shuffle while the BIS guy seems caught in mud. 

She couldn't possibly be that much faster than he is.  You don't know for
sure, but he's probably running at least a Cyber-7 equivalant.  But still
you see her,taking her time, almost slowly shuffling her cards, and
turning the top one over.  Through her eyes, you see a Major Arcana: 
Death.  It is beautiful, in all it's horror.  A specially designed deck of
cards, based on the works of Geiger and terrible in the extreme, sits
before you, and you realize he is backing away, a vision of fear on his
face, as you realize Solitaire has a somewhat crazed smile on her face as
she shakes her head, almost apologizing for the card she drew.  He turns
to run, and disappears out of the node at full speed.  Yet Solitaire seems
to be walking, almost crawling, yet she is gaining on him easily.  He gets
outside the Shadowland hub and runs forward into the general Matrix. 

Until a black arrow manifests in his throat.  Black as a cave at night,
with two black fletchings and a single red one, so red that it almost
seems to be dripping in fresh blood, much like the head of the arrow is
now.  He grasps at the shaft, amazed that he missed AJ's presence
completely, but before his deck dumps his persona from the Matrix, he
literally falls into a simsense uplink.  As his meat brain gets fed a
fatal dose of overload from the uplink, you hear a scream;  one that you
doubt you'll ever forget. 

"Fraggin Drek, Boss!  I almost had the guy!"

You were playing and he was about a second from jacking out and getting
the big boys with the real programs down here to find us.  Just kill him
next time. That's the main reason you're running the Hyper, not so you can
play around. 

Awwwwwww....  But did you catch that scream?  NICE!  I'll have to
incorporate it into one of my new utilities...  It'd do wonders for the
Tower, dont you think? 

Just get the stuff.  And I'll see what's going on with the others.

interogation proceedures because they are pretty harsh, but one thing Ah
will tell you is that he was rape by a person they said was Firewraith. 
Now Ah don't know much about her, but from what Ah do know, Ah really
don't think it was something she would have liked to have done, its cruel
what you can make Spirits do when you have their true names. The only
other important name ever mentioned in the report was one Hammer, the man
who ordered all of the ware and who also started the interogation on Blitz
against the doctors recommendation that the subject was in no condition ta
undergo something so strenous and possibly life threatening. You can bet
Hammer didn't care, especially since after the interrogation he decided to
ease Blitz's pain with a load of different drugs, all of which were
continued much longer than needed.  The report goes on to say that Blitz's
has become seriously addicted to about 90% of the drugs and midly addicted
to the rest. 

Another thing hinted in the file, from what Ah could tell, is that they
have more plans to add stuff to his system, but held off to see how he
acts. There used ta be more stuff in the file, like possibly Blitz's
location and, maybe what they planned to add to him, but unfortunately
that stuff was corrupted when it was taken from where-ever.  All attempts
so far ta recover it have come ta naught.]<<<<<

Yet another casualty of the fashion scene was discovered early this

Stormfalcon, your son has been kidnapped, along with one of the children
from Haven, a protege of mine, Little Dragon.  The two of them had left
Haven to go out and raise a little hell with the local gang(who really
should know better by now) when three skilled individuals shot and drugged
them expertly. I was not in the area, but three squatters were convinced
by Little Dragon's friend Saki to tell all.  In fact, the three kidnappers
killed four squatters. Apparently, one of the assailants was very skilled
with a high-powered rifle of some sort and after downing the children shot
and killed anyone who came near the pair.  Expertly.  The two others drove
up quickly, picked up both children, and placed them in the back seat
while the sniper on the roof came down and disassembled the rifle and
placed it in the trunk.  They have, unfortunately, disappeared.

Results of use run from: missfire's, jam's, elplosions and some sort of
chemical that is released when the primer is ruptured by the firing pin
that eats away the chrome plating on the weapons chambers.  It may also
