        attending to a few other duties, but in a little while I'll come
        back down and kill you.  Good day, program.

+++++   MONICA spins and walks out of the room.  In the background,
        SPRITE can be seen peeking around the corner.  In a moment, she
        also turns and scampers out of the room.

+++++   CLU picks himself up from the ground and can almost be seen to
        smile, but perhaps is a trick of the light.  He extends his bound
        hands and there is a tiny flash of light.  In it appears the
        object he snatched from his utility belt.  A closeup shows what
        appears to be a computerized version of a Swiss Army knife.

        CLU presses an unseen button and a lockpick flips out.  He
        inserts the pick into his handcuffs and in a moment, the bindings
        clatter to the ground.

        CLU then races forward and inserts the lockpick into the controls
        for the forcefield.  In a moment, it collapses and CLU races out
        of the cell.

        He pauses for a moment in the hallway and extends his arm.  Some
        kind of a weapons fades into being in his arm.  He then turns and
        races down the hallway.

        procedure.  CLU suddenly feels a presence and spins around.
        SPRITE is standing there.  CLU raises his hands and a ball of
        light appears in his hand.

CLU:    Do not stop me.
SPRITE: (tilts her hears questioningly)

SPRITE: Why do you wish to hurt Mother?
