Hello there and good morning!  I'm Charlie Fingers and I'm here in Denver to
send, direct to your trid screen, the latest and greatest news in the FRFZ.
This morning, that news relates to Maxim Arms, who has been conspicously
absent from the news as of late.

Last night, with all the fanfare of the opening of a new corporate headquarters,
Maxim Arms revealed to the world the opening of a new line of products, both
commercial and military, that will supposedly revolutionize the world of
personal armor, vehicle body manufacturing, and metalurgy.  Apparently, through
the use of orbital fabrication, Maxim Aerotech, with Maxim Armament Research
scientists, have discovered a method of creating ultra-lightweight metal foams
and microcellular tetrahedral titanium structures that have more than triple
the tensile strengh of a similarly designed terrestrial member.  What this
means, in terms that we all can understand, is that by using orbital
manufacturing and fabrication, Maxim has been able to make metals that are
lighter and stronger than thier ground based counterparts.

The display that Maxim put together are all prototypes of weapons, armors,
and displayed with actual test data and demonstrations of the strength of the
various metal and polymer structures that their new materials will allow.

Based on this news alone, Maxim stock shot up 56.78 Y, and is expected to
rise further in the next few days on the rumor that Maxim has already begun
limited production of some of the armor and the vehicle frames.  If this proves
to be true, then Maxim will have at least a full year head start on all of the
Big 8 except for Ares Macrotech.  After Maxim's buyout of the combined Fuchi/
Saeder-Krupp manufacturing facilities last year, Maxim and Ares are the only
two corporations to maintain manufacturing and fabrication presences in orbit,
and only Maxim has the ability to produce a reasonable amount of product in a
short amount of time.

Further, Maxim has also announced that they have already begun the construction
of a robotic lunar mining facility using the recently purchased Ecuadorian
mass driver.  They have already soft-landed 14 preliminary probes on the lunar
surface, Maxim reps say, and some 230 more, including all the necessary systems
to operate a lunar mine remotely, are planned.  The Corp Court and numerous
environmental organizations have already lodged complaints with Maxim Arms
President and CEO Nicole Velli, who has yet to respond, Court sources say.
However, launches from the mass driver have temporarily ceased, but this might
as well be due to the position of the moon as any intent to placate the Court.

Dragon and Strife showed up (nice timing, guys).  Strife, I've seen you when
you've got your shorts in a knot before, and you and that Pentjak Silat
(that's an Indonesian martial art, right?) are kinda scary.  Dragon, I've got
to tell you, I've never worked with a ninja before.  That Ninjutsu is some
seriously impressive stuff.  You are bad news, my compadre, and I'm just glad
we're on the same side.  In a way, it's similar to Tai Chi Chuan (that's the
Chinese style I do), they're both soft with lots of joint locks and the like.
 Man, there I go off on a tangent again.  Back to the point.  Roger showed up
a minute later and opened fire with that great big . . . whatever that thing
is.  I gotta hand it to you Roger, you don't fool around; when it's time for
you to get busy, you get BUSY!  We ended up with four guys rather dead and
two reasonably alive.  I persuaded the first guy to answer some questions.
 He told me he worked for BioMed.  WHAT?!!  I thought they were on our side.
 He also told me that not all of the guys on his strike team were from
BioMed, but he didn't know where the other guys came from.  He said that he
had just been told to include these two new guys  with the team.  He said
that the other guy that was still alive was one of the two.  I asked second
guy who he worked for, but he just made kind of a gurgly sound and died.  The
first guy croaked a few minutes later.  This is getting crazy.  So here I sit
with six dead guys in my apartment.  What is our next plan of action?  BTW,
Roger, you are our resident re-animator, right?  I got six dead guys.  Want

+++++ BEGIN VIDEO

You see the clear night sky over Seattle. From the vibration of the
camera and other subtle cues you guess that you must be looking at a vidfeed
from a small drone, possibly a Sikorsky Microskimmer or something
similar. The drone zooms over a deserted track of dockland, towards the
pier. It pauses, hovering in mid air. Digital image enhancement kicks in
to provide an enlarged image of two men walking together along the water.
they exchange something, shake hands and go off in separate directions

The drone begins to follow one of the men, inching along carefully now,
making sure it isn't spotted.

The man walks briskly, whistling the notes of 'Hitler had only one big
ball' as he goes along. He is a tall and lean man in his early fifties,
with obvious chrome cybereyes. He wears a denim jacket and jeans,
and appears to be quite at ease in this neighborhood.

Suddenly the man stops whistling. A small humming sound can be heard,
although you can't tell it's source. The sound grows steadily until it
becomes a thundering roar. When it reaches a crescendo, something
bursts through the wall of a nearby warehouse. A flaming skeleton
astride a large motorbike with wheels of fire skids to a halt in front
of the man, who takes a step backwards.

The man is obviously afraid, but his voice does not quiver as he says
"Oh, Hoi Brimstone. Been lookin' for you, as a matter o' fact."

"SILENCE" answers the Skeleton.  As he dismounts, the fiery
motorbike dissolves into the air.

"Hey, cool trick. Guess you don't have any problems finding a parking
space, uh?"

"I SEE FEAR IN YOUR AURA.  BLUFFING IS POINTLESS."

"Kinda takes the fun outta poker games, doesn't it? Hey, what's that?"
The man has spotted the drone now, and is looking directly at it.

"MY PRODUCTION CREW.  YOU ARE ABOUT TO BECOME THE STAR OF 'BONEHEAD
PRODUCTIONS'' GREATEST HIT, SANS STUNTMAN RATES."

"Oh frag. You're really serious about this, aren't you? Some people have no
fraggin' sense of humour".

The man (Who must be Marksanspensah) takes out a large combat knife from a
sheath at his back and assumes a combat stance. He holds the knife
parallel to his forearm, and the dikoted blade reflects the light
from Brimstone's flames into the camera.

"Come and get it, you fragger"

Brimstone makes a sound that could be considered a chuckle and his body
seems to blur towards Marksanspensah. Then he dissapears.

For a fraction of a second, Marksanspensah remains stunned. Suddenly
he wheels around cutting across Brimstone's chest just as the spirit
appears behind him. Brimstone's counterstrike lifts the man into the air
and sends him several meters back.

Brimstone stands still, examining the knife wound. Flames can be seen
behind the gash in the Spirit's leather jacket. The knife appears
to have knicked the breastbone.  Obviously Brimstone is more
surprised than hurt.

The same cannot be said for Marksanspensah, whose arm, and probably ribs
are broken. He gets up leaning on his knife arm.

"<Koff>, maybe I shoulda warned, you... I fought a Spirit before
<keff>, I lost... heh, but I learned some tricks..."

Brimstone starts advancing slowly but deliberately towards Marksanspensah,
who takes a step back for every one the spirit takes forward.

Marksanspensah runs out of space against a railing overlooking a
drainage canal five or six meters below.

"Ah, fraggit. My mom said I'd have days like this. Ya know what...
the problem is with... people today?  They don't read... enough
comics. Too much fraggin' trideo an' sims... guess you'd agree, huh?"

Brimstone says nothing. He just continues towards Marksanspensah,
slipping under the man's guard, grabbing him by the throat.
With a powerful shove, the spirit crashes him through the railing,
dangling in the air.

"APOLOGIES... WILL NOW BE CONSIDERED."

"Fgg...yyyou...ackk.." Marksanspensah flails wildly for a moment, and then
buries his knife deep into Brimstone's side. The spirit lets go and
Marksanspensah drops into the water below.

The drone dips downwards into the canal and lowers itself until it hovers
a few inches above the water.

Markanspensah is lying face down in two or three feet of water.  He is
trying to get up, a task not made easy by his broken arm.  He finally
manages to raise his head above the water after a few seconds.

Brimstone drops into the water next to him.  The spirit firmly places
one of it's heavy biker boots onto the man's back.

"Oh no, wai-grllg..."  Marksanspensah's words are cut short as
Brimstone forces him underwater again.

The man starts to thrash violently in the water, desperately trying to shift
the spirit from his back.  After several minutes of desperate
struggle, movement ceases, except for a few muscular spasms.

Brimstone lifts his foot from Marksanspensah's back.  He removes the
combat knife from between his ribs and drops it on top of the body,
fading away.

'caressed' a few systems that I've been checking out.  The runs went
very smoothly.  No alarms or anything like that.  Anyway, I've included
some of the haul for you, since I'm operating out of here while working
for you and that sort of thing.  I also gave McDonald a percentage of it.

Anyway, on the not so good side of things, I might have to move out of
the McDonald establishment pretty soon and fade for a little while.
I was doing my hourly browse of B&E Tech's system and ran into a memo
to their security director.  They've definitely gotten wind of my being
in this area.  So, tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m., about 5 'operatives'
are flying over to look for me.  So, to avoid endangering McDonald and
family, I might fade for a little while.  I'll be sure to keep in
touch though.  I'll probably make my decision based on whether the
operatives actually head over here or are called off.

Well, keep watching your rear.  Things are going well here.  (Don't
know if Razor would admit that though.)  Here's the fruits of some
of my caressing done earlier.
