HOT CHEESE PUPPIES ½ cup grated cheese ¼ tsp salt ¼ cup flour ¼ tsp cayenne 2 egg yolks ¼ tsp pepper 2 egg whites Mix cheese and flour. Stir in egg yolks. Add cayenne, salt, and pepper. Whip egg whites until very stiff. Fold into batter. Drop by teaspoons into hot fat, frying until golden brown. Drain and serve. Makes 24. Adapted from “Garvin County Bicentennial Recipe Book” (1976).
