COCONUT BRITTLE

     1 cup sugar          ¾ cup coconut flakes

Heat sugar in a pan, stirring constantly until it becomes a golden brown syrup. Remove from fire, stir in coconut quickly, and pour onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Mark into squares and allow to cool. Makes 18.
