COCONUT BRITTLE 1 cup sugar ¾ cup coconut flakes Heat sugar in a pan, stirring constantly until it becomes a golden brown syrup. Remove from fire, stir in coconut quickly, and pour onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Mark into squares and allow to cool. Makes 18. Adapted from “One Hundred Delights” (1922).
