I *know* the numbers are flawed because I'm two of the 45,000. The Houston Police Department have decided to provide as much Brady-induced harrassment as posible. Most denials here are caused by traffic tickets. Also, if you've ever been arrested for *anything*, you are denied. It doesn't matter if it was a misdemeanor or if you were even charged with anything at all. This is what snagged me. And the interesting part is that they don't keep the records of the check (by law), so I will continue to get rejected for every handgun that I buy. Each time I must bring my court records down to the police station to prove my innocence. In the meantime, I keep showing up in Clinton's statistics as proof of the Brady Law's effectiveness. The Clinton administration must pad the numbers because the *real* numbers are pathetic. Bottom line: the Brady Law is a waste of time and money: the police's time and our money. -- /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ > Bob Hennan (713) 282-3698 Barrios Technology, Inc., Houston, TX < \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
