Thereby adhering to the "one gun per month" law. > Thanks to the NRA's efforts it's better than that. You can go to the state police, swear on a form the reason for the multiple purchase, undergo an enhanced residency check, and if your reason for the multiple purchase is lawful, you will be given a certificate permitting the purchase, which you surrender to the dealor when you purchase the guns. This is for handguns only, no restrictions on long guns. And for the "group's" information, the 3 day check you mention is a local restriction up in the "lost" counties near D.C., NOT a Virginia Commonwealth-wide law. While not a full victory for the NRA, the ability to still make multi-handgun purchases with the "enhanced" background check was saved in large part through their efforts. The media likes to overlook that detail when proclaiming the great NRA defeat in Virginia. > --- > Mario N.
