Note that I have no confirmation of this. I heard this rumor too, ran it down, and found out that it was entirely true. Talk about someone who bears a grudge, the guy I talked to who's business was ruined because of their alledged infringement of Palladium Book's Recon(tm) trademark was very mad, and the more I talked to him the madder he got. For the record, I don't really bare a grudge against Mr. Siembieda. I think his actions are damaging to the industry, but he's also certainly contributed a fair amount to the industry as well, particularly his earlier works on armor, weaponry, and castles. I will admit that I no longer thing he was misusing the legal system just to drive competitors (us, for example) out of business. He honestly believes that he has to behave the way he is behaving to "protect his intellectual property." Of course I think he's grossly illadvised, but c'est la guerre. --Mavra! Peter D.
