Newsgroups: rec.games.frp.gurps From: [p--it--y] at [netcom.com] (Pee Kitty) Subject: Unarmed Combat Crit Fail Table Date: Thu, 2 Nov 1995 14:19:05 GMT I remember a discussion a while ago on here that included mention of how pathetic the Critical Fail table is for Unarmed Combat. There should be a separate CF table for Unarmed Combat. Unfortunately, there are only two things that can really happen: Lose your balance or hurt your hand/foot. Oh well...here's the table I've been using. Enjoy... UNARMED COMBAT CRITICAL FAILURE TABLE Roll 2d, and consult the table below: 2 You take enough damage to cripple the hand/foot/limb you were attacking with. 3-6 You take 1d-3 damage to the hand/foot/limb you were attacking with; Toughness protects normally. 7-10 You falter and lose your balance. You must spend a full turn regaining your stance; until you do, all attacks are at -4 and all defenses are at -2. 11-12 You completely lose your balance and fall, to a sitting or lying position (GM's choice). I suppose it would be better on 3d6, but I prefer 2d6 for simple tables like this. On this subject: Hey, Kromm! Maybe you could include a (better) unarmed crit fail table in MA/2E? -- Rev.
