                           R U N N I N G G E A R

RUNNING GEAR is a compilation of a number of articles, some of which already
were to be found on the Internet, others newly-written.

The ARJ-file you have just unpacked should contain two files:

1)      README.TXT: this file;
2) RUN_GEAR.DOC: 2,803,712 bytes in size. This is file is in Word for
Windows 6.0 format, and is 98 pages in length. The
first page is the front cover, the last page is the
back cover, and the file includes numerous pictures to
illustrate the text. These pictures have been pasted
                      into the text.

If you don't have Word for Windows 6.0, either get it somewhere, take the
RUN_GEAR.DOC file to someone who has, or try loading it into another word
processor. Results are not guaranteed, however, because you'll probably have
to re-edit the whole thing quite a bit.

By the way, Running Gear is laid out for A4-size paper (that's a European
paper size of 210x297mm, chummer), so if you use American-size paper (most
likely 8.5x11", or approximately 216x279mm [yes, I measure in metric. So sue
me :)]), my bet is you'll have to re-edit the layout as well.

These files may be distributed at will in electronic form, as long as the files
are not modified in any way, and remain together. Also, nobody should profit
from the distribution. The files may be modified, but modified versions may not
be distributed.

I'd like to thank all those who wrote the articles I added to Running Gear (I
don't think they know I did, but thanks anyway).

I am open to any suggestions and comments concerning Running Gear. You can
reach me on the Internet at gurth@dds.nl or gurth@xs4all.nl. Sorry, I'm not
going to give any snail-mail addresses :)
