The first segment is of a long corridor with a number of gun turrets
spread through it. I found an old vid called "Star Wars" and took
some of the ideas from it. Don't worry; the differences between the
two are sufficient to destroy any copyright suit. The Battlefield is
a big open area where most of the Matrix combat will occur. It has a
few gun turrets, smoke dispensers and "proximity mines" that explode
when someone comes near them. They cause no damage, but they will
provide nice special effects as well as distractions.

Cyberbrains when on this run and ended up with this wierd Blackwidow
ring in his pocket.  He foolishly looked at the gem, was enscrolled,
and put it on.  The ring fastened itself on his finger and became
impossible to remove.  This wierd black-haired lady dress in black
started looking around for him.  He yelled to us for help.

We went and go him and looked at the ring.  It was this very
elaborate magical construct with an astral link leading into the
metaplane of spiders.  It was also corrupting his aura with some
strange spell.  I tried to remove it and got slammed first by a
spider spirit and then by the ring. 

We did some research, but before we could come up with anything
definate, Cyberbrains took off to met the Widowmaker at Inferno. 
We all went down after him.  Lucky got taken over, Cyberbrains got
dominated, and two pairs of the Widowmaker and him left the
building. 

Spectre and I followed one into the sewer and got ambushed.  Spectre
lost a hand and I got dropped into a really deep hole.  BTW we got
the fake pair. 

Raven and Nightstalker followed the other pair, staked out its lair,
and eventually when in and rescued Cyberbrains.

Everyone got back together except for Spectre who went over the deep
end.  This creep named Brandon Lowe offered to help and we accepted.
He figured out a ritual that would get the damn ring off.  We got
some help for a whole bunch of people and tried to do the ritual.
Oh, I forgot, the Wolf Shaman named Fenris saved Lucky.

The ritual got fragged when the Widowmaker attacked.  Oh, I also
forgot to tell you that the Widowmaker was this Free Spider Spirit
and a Spider Shaman working together, like one being.  Anyway she
attacked with the biggest horde of spider spirits that I've ever
seen.  We all would have died except Brandon Lowe, the low life,
called in a bunch of his buddies.  His buddies were WASP SPIRITS!
We managed to kill the Spider Shaman, and Spectre blew himself and
the Spider Spirit into little bitty pieces.  I'm sure you heard of
that mansion that got blown up on Lake Union.  That was us. 

Anyway, we did the ritual again and freed Cyberbrains.  Then a bunch
of us traveled to the Plane of Spiders and killed the Widowmaker
Spirit for keeps.
