I think we pay a tremendous amount of lip service to hospitality. The main aim of this program is to get people at home to feel that they should go out, grab their friends, bring them into their home and feed them. Give them a little glass of wine and it doesn’t need to be an expensive or time-consuming business. Don’t try and buy hospitality with a credit card. You don’t buy hospitality with a credit card. You pay lip service to it and that’s all.
I think it’s important that we can sit round down to a fire in the winter, have a good yak with friends of ours and thoroughly enjoy the whole business. And this is what I want to try and do. My dishes are for you when you want to entertain, and entertain your guests and give a little hospitality. Give of yourself to your friends. — Graham Kerr (Entertaining With Kerr: Unaired Pilot)
