- Stop Worrying and Learn to Love the Internet by Douglas Adams: Absolutely brilliant, and what Ive been trying to say for years: Working out the social politics of who you can trust and why is what a very large part of our brain has evolved to do. For some batty reason we turn off this natural scepticism when we see things in any medium which require a lot of work or resources or in which we cant easily answer back--like newspapers, television or granite. What should concern us is not that we cant take what we read on the internet on trust, but that we ever got into the dangerous habit of believing what we read in the newspapers or saw on the TV.
- The Gullibility Virus by David P. Mikkelson: Another inciteful take on these idiot viruses hanging around the net. (Disable that annoying Geocities pop-up by turning Javascript off in your Preferences, usually under your Edit menu.)

Whenever you pick up any gun, immediately open the action and check (visually if possible) to see that the chamber is unloaded. If the gun has a magazine, remove it and make sure its empty. If you do not know how to open the guns action, leave it alone and get help from someone who does.
