Potato and cheese pizza pie
Shredded cheese and crunchy potatoes? Potatoes aren’t standard pizza fare in the United States, but they make a great pizza topping.
Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, minced
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- 1 small potato, shredded
- oregano, pepper, salt to taste
- 2 tsp Rosemary
- pizza dough
Steps
- Roll out the pizza dough
- Add the garlic, onion, and jalapeño, and spread along the bottom.
- Add the tomato.
- Add the spices.
- Cover with the shredded cheese.
- Top with the shredded potato.
- Sprinkle the rosemary on top.
- Bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until browned on top.
I recommend you try shredded potato on your pizza at least once. It is especially good with pepperoni. Make sure that the potatoes are on top, or just underneath something greasy such as pepperoni. This will ensure that they get nice and crispy.
